As a longtime current student of Taekwondo, who also has a black belt and practices in Seattle (the black referee is from here btw), Matos is a fucking idiot to do that. One of the tenets of Taekwondo is self control. That fucker didn't practice this at all. What he did was give Taekwondo the most negative publicity ever while everyone in the sport is trying their damndest to get the media to positively show Taekwondo during the Olympics. Thank god NBC allowed all of the matches to be viewed live over the Internet. I know for sure all Taekwondo dojangs will definitely be showing this video as a "what not to do" ever at a competition.

Matos will definitely be banned from the WTF (governing body of Taekwondo) for life. However, I don't think his coach should be banned. Cuba should definitely be sanctioned with a fine and maybe a 2-4 year ban from international competitions like the Pan American Games.
