Angel Matos and his “brain explosion” take The Gold for most memorable Olympic moment…
I'd give it a bronze. Gold to Usain Bolt high-stepping across the 100M finish line and still getting a world record, Silver to Phelps winning the butterfly by .01.
sweep the head johnny
Well, the governing body came down on him swift and brutal, banning him and his coach for life. So, sure, kick the ref, but be ready to pay for it.
If Chuck Norris had been the ref, Matos would have been roundhouse-kicked through the roof and up and over right into the torch.
He should be in jail. Assault and battery's assault and battery.
Thanks for not posting the video of the weightlifting bloke who broke his elbow. Thank you very much.
Why does this video think I want to buy a trampoline online?
Does everybody get trampoline spam? Or is it microtargeted?
i'd have to give the gold to australian diver matthew mitcham. just because he denied the chinese team a gold medal sweep in diving. for that, he's my hero.
when the chinese were diving, i felt like i was watching a spelling bee, only instead of spelling octopus wrong, i was hoping they would slip off the edge of the platform.
"You don't see that in any sport."
Obviously the announcer has never been to an American little league game.
As a longtime current student of Taekwondo, who also has a black belt and practices in Seattle (the black referee is from here btw), Matos is a fucking idiot to do that. One of the tenets of Taekwondo is self control. That fucker didn't practice this at all. What he did was give Taekwondo the most negative publicity ever while everyone in the sport is trying their damndest to get the media to positively show Taekwondo during the Olympics. Thank god NBC allowed all of the matches to be viewed live over the Internet. I know for sure all Taekwondo dojangs will definitely be showing this video as a "what not to do" ever at a competition.
Matos will definitely be banned from the WTF (governing body of Taekwondo) for life. However, I don't think his coach should be banned. Cuba should definitely be sanctioned with a fine and maybe a 2-4 year ban from international competitions like the Pan American Games.
