“I’m not one to track campaign ads…”

posted by on August 26 at 14:38 PM

…writes perennial Slog tipper Matt Effing Hickey, “but this one from the Obama camp is actually kinda hardcore.”

That hugging pic deserves all the play anyone’s willing to give it.

No chance McCain is a pedophile is there? Mabye he bought some meth from a gay prostitute? That is how you sink his chances.

Would someone make guesses as to why the "I approved this ad" goes at the beginning of the spot on occasion? Like, it's easier to forget when it is a mean one or something...?

The pic with his head on his shoulder is much better.

@2: It's sung to the tune of "Don't know much about history . . ." and showcases some of McCain's stupidity on the issues. It ends with the famous Bush-hugging picture.

It's hard for me to dislike McCain, despite all the reasons he gives me day after day.

Part of the reason why that infamous photo of him hugging Bush looks so awkward is because - according to my dad, my personal political oracle - McCain can't lift his arms very high. This, apparently, is a result of his time as a POW.

His politics are reprehensible and no thinking person should vote for him, but I can't help but feel actual feelings for a fellow who looks awkward hugging the dingbat-in-chief because he was so badly treated for 5 1/2 years in a North Vietnamese prison.

Kinda makes his reversal on torture that much worse, doesn't it?
