I used to walk instead of riding due to my fear of the alien topography, but now have come to see the light and the method. These hills? Get in low gear and stand up and fucking pedal. OK, you end up at the top of the hill covered in sweat, but that's just an excuse to drink some beer (ie, "carbo-load") for the rest of your ride. And if it's raining, as I hear it sometimes does here, well, then, you're wet either... I love that. "Don't have the heart" would have been just a cliche, and of course he's got as much time as he'd have in any other season. Not enough time in my heart. It's lovely.

Also, re "cripples" on the bus -- when is this hipster trend of saying the oh-so-shocking stuff for effect going to be recognized for the pitiful, tired schtick that it is? Dan loves doing it to the fat people, and word is you're related. But seriously, you're not 12 anymore. I assume.
