Did you know that Obama has not even completed one term in the United States Senate? And of that time, it's been mostly campaigning?
So Obama is trying to short circuit that deficit by having us fall in love with his oratory skills, intuition, and savvy organizing skills. All well and good except that we'll end up with something between a Jimmy Carter and an Adlai Stevenson and an economy that punishes success and rewards dependency with a six month waiting list to get medical care.
Nobody has been able to successfully counteract the argument that he is too inexperienced.
the alternative is Grandpappy Prisoner McCain and a 100% rightwing Supreme Court. Also, continuing war, a rising deficit, a crapped out economy and the Barbiest First Lady ever.
Shut up, already.

Next week some poll somewhere will show McCain up by 2 and you'll freak out again. Could we not read too much into polls, please? Particularly individual national tracking polls whose results aren't necessarily supported by other polls, and which aren't really measuring electoral success properly anyway?

polls ain't shit.
Hey Dan, slog tip: NBC apologized to Matthew Mitcham for now profiling he and his partner.

Gee, too bad NBC can't make it up to Mitcham somehow, what with their TV network and cable networks and all.
Sweet.
Oh, saw a book called Obama for Beginners at the UW Bookstore today.
Woah.

@5, please, stop mixing your reality with Slog's cultish worship of Obama. I hear he will walk on water tonight and heal the blind! I can't WAIT!!
@5 OH NO, an Adlai Steveneson!? He was such a terrible presid--hey wait a minute...
Funny how you "inexperienced" memesters always studiously avoid any mention of Bill Clinton.
@7, yeah and he signed discrimination against gays and lesbians into law TWO TIMES!!!!
Now THAT's change we can believe in!!!!
The typical "convention bounce" is at least 6.5 points.

The convention isn't over, John...those are mid-convention numbers.
