I was in Seattle 2 days ago & read some of your mostly fine articles in “the Stranger.”
I am not even close to being a JOHN McCain fan. That being said, the former military man you are mocking with your “JOHN McCain’s Swollen Gland” column is in part a veteran of the American military’s responsibility for the freedoms you & your staff enjoy to write such pathetic rubbish.
THAT being said: May any member/members of your staff that find this column amusing “vomit into their own mouth, fall to the ground, suffocate on the puke, & then have gasoline poured onto their now totally worthless lifeless bodies & be lit on fire”

I love the fact that as the letter transitions from same to crazy, the writing goes from single to double space. Those strong words need extra space to breath ya know.

So yeah, this guy's a nutcase - but I can't help wondering if your post is merely an excuse to publish his address in the hope that a Stranger fan will somehow retaliate on your behalf. I adore the Slog, it's a great venue in which your readership can connect with Staffers; but this sort of thing creates an environment in which the only safe way to submit negative feedback is anonymously. Sure, this asshole's letter crosses the line far beyond "negative feedback"...but still.
Vietnam war vets did nothing to secure or promote any freedom of mine. Nor do any current active military do anything of the kind.
May Murray and Senator McCain drown in their own drool while napping on the toilet waiting for their stopped up bowels clear.
That being said...
Umm, publishing this guys address, no matter how crazy and vaugely threatening his letter may be, is pretty darn Malkinesque if you ask me.

All I could think as I stared at that was how glad I am that I don't have to read student essays any more.
I've never understood the conservative logic that one should never use the freedoms that soldiers work so hard to attain.

What's the name for that position? What is the going rate? Can you just ask anyone to do it or do you seek a specialist? Is it considered "cheating."
