I'm pretty happy with my team (I just hope the Seahawks defense is as good or better than predicted). I also Tony Romo doesn't get distracted by off field problems.

My one quandary is do I start a first round rookie (Matt Forte) as my #2 RB instead of Michael Turner. The Bears will probably run Forte a lot and he could give me a lot of yardage points.

LT and D Andersen? Mr. 6 touchdowns in one game last season? you guys are sooooooo fucked.

I also took a gamble on adding Ricki williams to my bench. You never know....

And I need no injuries, just like every other team.

Wisepunk, unfortunately you could wind up in the unfortunate situation of them scoring huge in one game instead of spreading the cheese throughout the season.

What's the deal with Shaun Alexander? Is he still playing this year?

Shaun is still a free agent, at least that's what his wikipedia page says.

"Broadway Brett" Favre could lead the Jets to a Superbowl. I think his whole problem may have been the "Doc Hollywood" way cheeseheads just wouldn't let go of him.

Not so sanguine about my beloved Hawks...I'm just not feelin' it this year...

I absolutely love the Saints' uniforms. Gold, black, white and fleur de lys. Brilliant.

Not a football fan, but that's a great photo. I like how you can actually see that one player's retinas becoming detached.

@7: Drop it.

Jonah, thank you for indulging BA and putting up a football post. It is true, I'd been wanting one for days! FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!

Cheerio, chaps. What do you lot think of my selection of Darren Bent and Adebayor up top, with David Bentley and Essien in midfield?

Oh, this is that abomination you Americans call "foot"ball. I'm off for afternoon tea and scones, then. Ta!

@20 -- I think that Bent hasn't proven himself yet, and replacing Keane and Berbatov will be far too much to ask of him, frankly. Adding Bentley to your team is great, as he'll try to pick up some of the slack for those missing forwards that have left the Spurs. You are foolish if you expect Adebayor to duplicate his amazing season for the Gunners, and I think the Blues may have peaked and Essien's stats will reflect that decline.

With that out of the way, the Slogaholics are looking forward to eating everyone's lunch this year! Hey Jonah, how come you pick on my guy -- showing him getting his chiropractic adjustment thanks to the Hawks secondary? At some point, can we all get together on a non-Seahawk-homegame Sunday to watch the games together? In-person smack talk and gloating over 90-yard TD passes is far superior to doing it online!
