Housekeeping Ever Wonder What It’s Like to Be a News Intern?

Do you enjoy trolling through mind-numbing court filings? Do you like taking long walks down to city hall to pick up always-exciting legislative action agendas? Do you wish you spent more time interviewing crazy people about everything from the fascinating world of mass transit to gay robot conspiracies?
Then have we got a job for you!
The Stranger’s news department is looking for a few good interns.
If you have any aspirations to be a journalist, can string together a sentence, and don’t mind acting as a drug mule every once in awhile, then send a resume and clips (if you have them) to Barnett@thestranger.com.
Stranger internships: You can’t say you hate it if you haven’t tried it.
It's so hard to find good help these days...
No.
I've already said what I had to say on this topic -- and got branded as a suck because of it...
I wanted to be a news intern then I got a life.
Snap!
I nominate the pig in the above photo...
But you are, Todd.
Will you need interns in January?
slave labor - should get min. wage at least
Can't say you've tried it unless you're unemployed.
Why are you guys having such a hard time filling this position?
Aren't most print internships are paid? Why not yours?
Exactly how untalented do you need to be to take an unpaid internship at a local weekly?
#11, The Stranger is cheap as hell. This is well known.
@11 Aside from the lack of monetary compensation, if I was a 17-year old aspiring journalist, I know that the thought of being Jonah and Erica's bitch for a period of months would absolutely scare the shit out of me.
Uh, Jonah. Can you do better than just moving the post from yesterday?
Some more witty reasons for being an intern, please....
poor news dept. no one wants to be an intern.
