I had to watch it twice to see whatever it is you are talking about. It looked to me like three familiar, and not unflattering, pictures of McCain. I've seen some pictures where he looked like hell, and those aren't them.

I think "in the pocket of big oil" and Bush + McCain was the only message here, Eli.

You have to see these in close up views on HDTV - at 1080p on a 50 inch set they're terrifying to small children.

Yeeeeahh, I'm not really sure how big the "omg-old-fat-cheek-eww" voter pool is to blow this dog whistle at.

good ad

gas prices falling, just in time, plus for Mc Cain

going really negative now is premature, and Mc Cain sounds and acts horrible - he tells the world he is too old and stroke damaged to do the job

it isn't just older age, my granny at 87 sounds better

the problem is the respect thing - Mc BushThree is a war hero and has cast a long shadow for years - polling show most voters are concerned about his age - how to use that with smarts and no backlash is the question

and there is time, plenty of time

Oh, most of the dumbshits in this country will think it's a wad of chew, and that'll be a reason to vote for him. That, and the fact he's running against a negro.

So what if he's old. Ronald Reagan was old, and he was America's Granpaw

Who does Obama think votes in Presidents?

20 something Rock the Voters? Hell, if there's a reasonably interesting episode of "American Idol", they'll stay away from the polls in droves!

Go ahead -- call McCain old -- it just boosts his standings in Florida (and California, New York, and every other nascent Boomsday township in Geezerville).

We won't support no-experience, spine-less NO-Bama and will re-defeat him in November!!!

With McCain basically saying Obama is an uppity n*** r who wants to have s*x with your white daughters, coming back with "Oh yeh, well your jowl is ugly," isn't going to cut it. There is nothing subtle here. This Mandingo with a law degree sh*t is working and no return punches are being landed. And does Obama have the weakest pathetic surrogates or what? And they make him look the same be association. I'm really amazed...

Pardon the ... my first (and more eloquent) comment didn't get past he spam filter

The term 'windfall profits' is frequently used incorrectly. A windfall means that you obtained profit without working for it, like a free bonus. Oil companies are still drilling, refining, and doing what they can to bring product to market, so the term does not apply and is therefore disingenuous in this disgusting ad.

raindrop: oil companies are a monopoly cartel that has been using tax payer funded United States armed forces as enforcers of their will around the globe for decades. And you are their delivery boy...troll on buddy. How long have you been working for the firm?

ah, yes, tax oil companies more and by insinuation, raise the price of gas

profits and business go hand in hand, small or large

slippery slope, Obama needs Hillary

And where is the tour with rallies of 50,000 magnitude in city after city?

Obama draws people, his biggest strength, build on it

If McCain does a woman as veep and he does not - HE LOOSES, period

Mc Cain partnered with a rich lady when he needed too, he has a practical streak

Obama is making mistakes, hooking oil drilling to a good energy plan is not too bad, WHAT THE HELL IS THE PLAN? Whose plan if not his?

Pretty face, never served in combat, mocking older war hero face is silly

the skin cancer thing is a BIG plus for Mc Cain, he is normal, vulnerable to all the shit like the rest of us, AND takes care of things when needed. Many men do not ... god example to the world, men, take care of the medical stuff ... don't sluff it off ... wish I had his health insurance.

This ain't going to be easy, need to target the big states, duh, those where Hillary won ......... that is, if he wants to win. A close loss does not destroy his career, history has already been made. Obama history. In the books.

The way to go after McCain's age is to say he's out of touch (with the problems of regular folks, with the overwhelming desire of the American people to get out of Iraq, with exactly who the warring parties are in Iraq, etc. etc. etc). Because he is.

Oh, and a nice little video clip of McCain spouting that whole "Social Security is a disgrace" BS would be pure electoral gold in Florida.

Imagine what people would say if there was a black guy narrating the vid, rather than the standard, boring white guy ad campaign voice. It shouldn't matter, but it would.
