RSS icon Comments on Also, Hillary Clinton: Never Vetted.

But Hillary said that she was already the most vetted candidate in history. So, Obama took her at her word. Besides, why vet someone who has been in the public eye for so long.

Posted by Think about it | August 22, 2008 9:32 AM

Because he said she'd be on anyone's short list? So if he didn't vet her, that was a lie.

Change, unity yadda yadda yadda.

What a liar.

@2 For the love of God, stop pouting.

Posted by Hernandez | August 22, 2008 9:47 AM

PC is imploding. It's fun to watch.

Posted by McCain/Crist 08! | August 22, 2008 9:47 AM

SusanUnPC, lying never bothered you before. Why now?

Posted by elenchos | August 22, 2008 10:00 AM

I like your style. Minus McCain.

A quote from that very politico page:

An Obama aide said "absolutely exhaustive research was done on her over the course of the 16 month primary. She was researched more closely than any candidate in history."

Hillary has been in the public eye for a very long time. Call it a vetting by default. I don't think it's extremely likely that she will be Obama's running mate, though.

Posted by bearseatbeats | August 22, 2008 10:05 AM

Why would anyone in their right mind want her as VP? It'd be like having Lady Macbeth as your running mate.

Posted by Catalina Vel-DuRay | August 22, 2008 10:11 AM

@2 what is the lie, exactly?

HRC didn't need to be vetted. Everyone already knows her liabilities. Wrong on the war, lousy manager, miserable failure at healthcare, and her cheating/lying/impeached/dis-barred husband.

Memo to O: Wesley Clark, please.

Posted by Andy Niable | August 22, 2008 10:14 AM

At this point I take everything that is said about the VP choice with the proverbial grain of salt. It is all disinformaiton.

@2 - Now THAT'S funny! Here's what I wrote in the Chet Edwards comment section not five minutes ago:

"To paraphrase PC: Hillary's perfect, blah blah blah, I'll whine and pout if it's anyone but her. Then I'll post a 12-page rant about how much Obama sucks, but then I'll write 'unity' at the bottom to make people think I'm not a psycho spammer just like clintonsarmy."

Thanks for proving my point for me. Well, minus the 12-page rant. But I'm sure it's coming.

the lackluster patrician family Dem. white guy centrist from Indiana, B. B., is it

let us pray Mc Cain keeps making mistakes

Hilary was his coupon to victory - such false pride in the jungle of top end international politics, can we chant JFK a few times in memory of practical politics that yielded a win??

such belt way and small town players, but then, wah wah wah....I don't like her haircut or her negatives cause the right wing don't like her either ... bah

Birch B. will be booed from the convention floor

and unless Obama has the best speech the world has ever heard, well ... the nitty gritty buzz will be he peaked two month ago

all glam and little slam, I so do fear

@13: also dead. You may be thinking of Evan Bayh?

Posted by Nora | August 22, 2008 10:36 AM

Susan, if you didn't shit in your own nest every day, you wouldn't need to keep changing your identity. Don't you think there's a reason why everyone hates you so much?

Posted by elenchos | August 22, 2008 10:36 AM

Oops, sorry. Birch Bayh senior is NOT dead. He's 80 years old. Wikipedia is my friend.

Posted by Nora | August 22, 2008 10:39 AM

I've always thought he would choose Hillary.

She is his ticket to win.

Otherwise, her 18 million voters will walk.

If he doesn't choose her, he's more of an idiot than I already believe him to be.

If he doesn't choose Hillary, she should go to the Convention with both guns blazing and sue the pants off the DNC (over Michigan and Florida), and get that nomination.

The Democrats have lied about "one person one vote." They're liars. And Obama is the king of liars.

Hey, someone ask Obama, "How many brothers do you have?" "How much money have you sent your half brother living in that hut?" "Is that what you meant by your quote, 'for the least of these?'"

What a hypocrite.

Hillary needs to steal the show at the Convention.

I'm voting for McCain.

@17 *yawn!*

Posted by Hillarybot | August 22, 2008 10:56 AM

Susan, you moron. Everyone already knew you would never vote for a black man. You have never fooled anybody. Not for one minute. Please go away and stop this.

Posted by elenchos | August 22, 2008 11:16 AM

@17, see my post above (@4). It applies to you too. Enjoy your weekend!

Posted by McCain/Crist '08! | August 22, 2008 11:21 AM

You'd think the Obama people would be less arrogant and more gracious condidering they can't win without her supporters.

Posted by Vince | August 22, 2008 12:19 PM

you think hillary supports would be more pragmatic about the future of their country.

Posted by Bellevue Ave | August 22, 2008 12:38 PM

@21 - um, have you been paying attention to what the Clinton supporters have been doing?

Pot, meet kettle.

Posted by Will in Seattle | August 22, 2008 1:12 PM

The whole Hillary supporter thing is a bunch of crap: A handful of dried-up old hags makes some noise, and we're all supposed to burst into tears. Typical baby boomer nonsense. Their fat old broad didn't get the nomination, so they're knocking over the checker board and throwing a tantrum.

Well, nobody's listening anymore, ladies. So pack up your pantsuits and your Joni Mitchell albums and shuffle off to the assisted living facility, or wherever it is old people go when no one wants to see or hear them anymore. You may have been hot when you were being all angry in your 20's, but you're just a bunch of shrill old biddies now.

Oh yeah, did I mention you're behaving just like your mothers?
