Priscilla Wald is up at the U Book Store with her book Contagious. It's apparently going to be a discussion about "superspreaders, hot zones, and tenacious microbes." This one looks pretty interesting because it's a science book written by an English professor whose previous book is about cultural anxiety. I think it's always interesting to read books about scientific subjects by authors who don't necessarily have a lot of scientific training. I frequently feel like I'm learning along with the author, which...
