Step one: Make sure your status bar is turned on.

Step two: look where you're going before you click.

So, why is it again that several OUTSIDE blogs beat Slog to the punch...?

What a drag... is this a cost-cutting measure, or did EF want to move on?

@7,

According to Forney's blog, it's not her choice.

Step 3: Author of piece can type 4 little letters next to the fuckin' link: N-S-F-W

Parenthesis are fuckin' optional.

Where's that troll that was always going on about Feit? Think he/she could possibly come back and hound The Stranger about Forney too...?

WTF?!
I love Ellen's work.
The printed Stranger won't be as kick-ass w/o her kinky, yet bad-ass artwork.
I think it's a bad idea.

@11: Well, sure, the author could. Go ahead and hold your breath on that, I guess.

Yeah, the Stranger isn't going to bother with an answer, which indicates that the reason is pretty image-damaging for the rag... because you would've posted why if it wasn't.

I expect any hasty attempts at damage control to be trite and contrived at best, as usual.

My God, you heathens! Ellen Forney and the Stranger are like PB&J! Or rubber and chains. This is it. It's all over. It's the last gasp of beloved old "quirky" Seattle. Bring on Ask A Mexican now and complete the circle.

This is a big big boo for the Stranger.

I also agree with Gomez that you're in the middle of damage control spin and we won't ever know why. Prove me wrong?

Don't forget to impart your grievances to Ms. Forney herself, guys:

What a rockin' cool chick. Her pieces in the Stranger will be sorely missed!

Gomez hit it - this stinks of Friday afternoon news drop BS big time.

Unless she's completely busting your free-lance writer budget (which I strongly doubt) this is an staggeringly dumb move.

I know it's goes against every hardened crag of the Stranger's corporate culture to actually admit you're wrong and apologize to anyone and/or for anything, this would be a good time to make an exception.

Geez - if the Fonz could finally admit he was wrong, so can you.

BTW -Did I mention this was colossally dumb?
