Even the Slog is not a safe refuge from the fantasy football dorks?

As little as I care for football, I'm even less interested in reading a dungeon mas--fantasy league coordinator's public whining about the commitment level he feels his prospective players owe him.

FYI

Queer men have a great fantasy every time they see all that hunky ass in tights in the air - all in a handy row. In my experience it leads to after game good-time sex, every game.

Aww, let them have their fun. These sorts of activities are more enjoyable with like-minded groups. I cared much more for my Premiership fantasy team that was in a mini-league of female Arsenal fans I talk with online than with one I had on a different site.

(@3: I can't help but agree with you, though. A Slog premiership fantasy team would be awesome.)

Yeah Adam, American football players have fake skills and fake athletic abilities. Like running fast or catching a football, or kicking a ball straight and long, or throwing a ball fast and hard, or wrestling another person to the ground. You soccer sophists are pathetic and always make the worst arguments as to why futbol is superior to american football.

Jonah's post was useful to me, I didn't get his follow up mail and I do want to participate. Not that I know anything about fantasy football, but, whatever, I'll still crush the boys.

Abby @6, Jonah & co. are welcome to have their fun, and I welcome them to announce on Slog what a good time they're having.

What annoys me is a person recruiting partners for his own pursuit whining that people aren't enthusiastic enough for it and demanding to be convinced of everyone's dedication.

It brings to mind the kind of high-school geek who deals with his outsiderhood by searching for a niche small and weak enough that he can be its tyrant king.

My fantasy is that the teams all go out of town, and the Welfare State for mega-Millionaires goes with them.

Anybody who has played in a league hates it when the people in last place stop playing after week 4. Props to Jonah for being up front!

I'm already in another league,so this is not something I'm doing for my benefit. I'm setting this up as a fun thing for people on Slog to participate in. But thanks for being a complete turd about the whole thing.

Lostboy - You're kind of being a dummy. Try googling fantasy football and perhaps you'll see that it's somewhat more popular than they way you're trying to frame it.

Calvin @16, I wasn't commenting on Fantasy Football at all, actually.  I don't begrudge anyone their enjoyment of Fantasy Football or any other benign hobby.

That said, while I still think Jonah's tone in the original post warranted some criticism, my comment @10 yesterday was harsher than it needed to be.  I apologize.
