Sensational innuendo aside, there are obvious problems with this, but nothing really worse than a college-aged mama's boy, certainly nothing that warrants our concern from the far side of the continent.

I guess it's only a little creepy, and maybe even sweet, if a girl wants to take her dad to the prom. I have certainly taken my daughter to a father-daughter dance before, and it's kind of fun. But it is really creepy that the dad would want to go. He's the adult, after all, and he should have told his daughter that it would be inappropriate for him to be there partying among a bunch of 17 year old girls. I wonder what the parents of the other girls would think? It's not like he was a chaperone or anything. Presumably, he was out on the floor.

Youth pastors like to get their freak dance on too.

I wondered, what would the response be if it was a teenage male bringing his mom to senior prom? Would they revoke his man-card?

Snarky incest jokes aside, it seems more probable that the girl is just really immature and socially maladjusted. So, she'd rather go to an important high school event with a parent rather than with a peer.

You'd think after Dan running YPW all these years that the word would be out to ALL youth pastors to mind their p's and q's even refraining from quite possibly innocent father daughter activities.

Reminds me of the Purity ceremonies I've read about. Where the Daughter pledges her loyalty and virtues to her father until she gets married. (or something along those lines, don't have the article in front of me) I'm all for respeting your parents but this is just creepy.

Um, hello, people - she's probably a LESBIAN. Taking your dad to the prom = no gross teenage boy pawing you drunkenly in a rented limo. Plus all the adults go, "Aw, how sweet" instead of "What's wrong with that Ashley? Why doesn't she get a boyfriend instead of hanging around with the girls on the volleyball team all the time?"
