I have certainly taken my daughter to a father-daughter dance before, and it's kind of fun. But it is really creepy that the dad would want to go. He's the adult, after all, and he should have told his daughter that it would be inappropriate for him to be there partying among a bunch of 17 year old girls. I wonder what the parents of the other girls would think? It's not like he was a chaperone or anything. Presumably, he was out on the floor.
