A lot of raids are conducted by unmarked officers, who don't announce themselves or announce themselves from outside, and the person asleep on another floor doesn't know what the fuck is going on. So they react the way most sane people would when they hear intruders--they grab a gun and wait in the bedroom, where they're shot. This happens every week.

Or maybe they didn't yell anything at all--impossible to say. But if it's anyone's fault, it's the police.
