not "AmericaN Artist"?

the fact that i went to junior high with her in cincy prior to Annie & Square Pegs does not make her interesting.

This sounds dreadful. And I hate the name. Hate. It.

There has to be some reason why they called it that instead of "American Artist". Copyright? Surely someone at Bravo speaks English? Oh, it's awful.

Q: Why was the chicken fired from The Stranger?

A: To get to the other Seattle alternative weekly!

How many performance artists does it take to screw in a light bulb?

I don't know. I left before the end.

Poor Sarah, I never understood why us gays were supposed to like her. I find her rather annoying and overexposed. Which is why she will be just perfect for Bravo!

America artist, stay away from me
America artist, mama let me be
Don’t come hangin’ around my door
I don’t wanna see your face no more
I got more important things to do
Than spend my time growin’ old with you
Now artist, I said stay away,
America artist, listen what I say.

There, I feel much better now.

andrew @9, i never knew why us girls were supposed to like her, either, and i also found her profoundly annoying and overexposed. liked satc (usually) DESPITE her.

@9 The hollywood rumor I always heard (from gay writers) about satc's popularity was that it was written by gay writers about the relationships of gay men (only the genders were changed to protect the innocent).

#12 That's a stupid rumor. Darren Starr, (gay and male) created the show based on Candace Bushnell's (straight and female)book. Michael Patrick King (gay and male, also) was the show runner and head writer. (He also wrote and directed the recent, rather rotten, movie). BUT, the vast majority of the staff writers on the series were female.

thanks for the info. so you're saying the shows creator and the head writer are gay. these would be the two people with the most influence, likely the ones who wrote and/or approved the show bible (you do know about show bibles don't you?), the people who approve or order revisions to all scripts. so it seems with this kind of control the spirit of the rumor is pretty accurate. BUT I'll accept that just because the two most influential writers were gay men while the vast majority of other writers were not, the rumor is not entirely true.

How about "American Artist" as in Patti Smith's "...I'm an American artist... and I have no guilt"...?
