Books We’re Somewhere Between 1 and 60!

onI just received the most awesomest press release ever:
(Branford, CT) The Woodland Park Zoological Gardens in Seattle is one of sixty to be honored as one of “America’s Best Zoos 2008” by The Intrepid Traveler, a travel publisher located in Branford, CT.
Of course, the press release doesn’t say what number the Woodland Park Zoo made on the list—maybe it’s un-numbered? As someone in the office helpfully pointed out: “That’s more than one zoo per state!” Some quick math confirms this observation, which means that we are not one of the ten states to experience the sheer giddiness of having two zoos worth mentioning on the 60-zoo-strong “America’s Best Zoos 2008” list.
But the press release worked, since I went to the Intrepid Traveler website and found a book that will definitely go on my 60-book-strong “America’s Best Book Titles 2008” list: Here Be Yaks.
They’ll be receiving a press release announcing their achievement in the next few days.

Sweet!
How do you know that there are ten states with more than one zoo mentioned? Might not one state have three zoos mentioned?
You're missing the best part:
From the sfist -
The Intrepid Travel, some sort of online travel guide -- one that clearly has no access to the internets, TV, newspapers, phones, water coolers -- is bestowing the SF Zoo (along with 60 others) with the title of Best Zoo of 2008.
@3, that's because it is the best zoo (along with 60 others). Every other zoo has pussies instead of real tigers.
It's because the staff eats the most tender young elephant a lab can create.
Is Manosi Lahari one of Jhumpa Lahiri's ne'er-do-well siblings?
Wow, that's one of the worst web sites I've seen in a looooong time.
Actually, the best part is that the forward was written by Newt Gingrich.
@8 - that's enough to keep me from reading it.
#2 is right. For all we know, Washington has one, and the other 59 are all in Kentucky.
"Here be yaks" are my favorite three words ever put in a row.
I've been to quite a few zoos, and I can assure you that the 60th-best zoo in America is pretty dreadful. Woodland Park has got to be in the top ten, I would hope. But then, I don't think there really are any excellent zoos in the States; there are at least three in Australia, a country of 20 million, that are far better than anything I've seen here.
And any zoo that maintains an exhibit of African humans, as does Woodland Park, gets quite a few points knocked off.
