What the work reveals is the contradiction at that core of any sexual unification: the whole is realized by a rupture, a crack, a break. To see more of Dekker's work (which for the most part is not erotic but almost always powerful), go here. As for the heart of her design philosophy, it is this: The quality...

Ah yes. This will be on hudnreds of thousands of posters all over the world, just like the Eiffel Tower, the Brooklyn Bridge, Monticello, the Parthenon, everyone will love it's muscular sexiness and copy it everywhere, the way the "bungalow" style or "Cape Cod" style of "Federal" style is copied everywhere, in fact this will take over all those styles because it's just such good architecture.

Not.

you know, I had professors at Architecture school that talked this way all the time. you wanted to kill them. had never met such a set of pompous bastards... they either liked your stuff or they didn't... then they made up a bunch of shit to try to make it sound like some grand thought or philosophy or statement or whatever. often as not what they said in one review completely conradicted what they had said in another, even minutes apart. a great job if you can get it
