Comment by Erica is still an eco moron

C'mon Erica! Do you really believe your own hype? Just because a chunk of a glacier falls into the ocean "Ohhh it has just gotta be global warming!" Geesshhh

It’s hard to ignore the fact that the Green facists like Erica are going crazy, not just in the United States, but around the world. They are increasingly frantic over the opposition being voiced against global warming, one of the greatest hoaxes in modern history.

The Greens have bet everything on global warming as the reason for giving up the use of long established sources of energy such as oil, coal and natural gas. The object has been to slow everything the modern world calls progress.

In India, a spokesman for that nation of one billion people has flatly refused to accept the global warming hoax. China shows no sign of yielding to the global warming lies. The greatest agricultural and mercantile economy to have ever existed, the United States of America, continues to thwart its own growth by yielding to the lies.

Recently the Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, said that, “coal makes us sick. Oil makes us sick. It’s global warming. It’s ruining our country. It’s ruining our world.”

No, what makes us sick is listening to such preposterous lies. A Rasmussen telephone survey taken after Senator Reid’s absurd statement found that 52% of voters surveyed rejected his views about coal and oil, double the amount of those who agreed.

What is troublesome, however, is that the same survey found the voters evenly divided on whether global warming exists or poses a threat. Fully 47% of those surveyed believe that human activity affects the climate. Both candidates for President are publicly committed to the global warming hoax by varying degrees.

So tell me oh Great Erica? When the United States is in economic shambles and everyone is living in poverty trying to achieve your Green goals, what will you say then? Do you realize the total cost to everyone? You do realize the folly in your efforts? If China and India refuse to play the game, and simply ignore any efforts we do here, what overall effect on the world is it going to have? Their populations and "footprint" dwarf any efforts we will try.

But you'd rather make all of us have to suffer by enacting legislation and policy that makes my 100 years of existence on this rock more difficult than it needs to be.

Nice of you Greens to feel you are so superior over me.

Thankfully the world is beginning to recognize that we've had the wool pulled over our eyes. More and more people are simply laughing at the concept of global warming.

I think it is time you woke up too.

Depends on where your lamb comes from. New Zealand lamb uses far less carbon even after flying it here, because it has virtually zero carbon inputs when it's being raised. Fertilizer, supplements, irrigation. You can also avoid these things by buying organic free range at your farmer's market.

@ 13 - Having quickly perused it, I can counter-argue that the occasional lamb, if purchased from a small farmer who raises it on small pasture without sending it to a feed lot, isn't so bad for the environment. Same if I purchase my beef and pork that way, and especially if I don't eat meat every day. (Once or twice a week ought to be all anyone eats.)

Unless you are living in a tent off the grid somewhere, robbing dumpsters for all food, like that guy on Colbert 2 shows ago, as an American you are directly and indirectly consuming about 100,000 x more energy than you would have to consume in order to be pure and "not contributing to global warming."

Even if you are vegan don't drive and vote green etc.

_____________________________________

Missed news item of the day:

WTO Talks Break Down!
Where is the death to WTO celebration, hmm?

India and China swung their weight around to stop rules that might take away their ability to "protect" their ag producers from foreign competition.

This mainly hurts other smaller ag nations that may be even poorer.

Woo-hoo, less trade & more extreme poverty for the poorest of the poor around the world!

And best of all -- this enables China and India to protect their "sovereignty" against sovereignty-destroying int'l bodies (where every nation gets a vote) trying to set up global rules for all. That is just one more step toward One World Government. Yuck! Lou Dobbs would not approve.

Great precedent -- can't wait to see how China and India react when the world asks them to agree to universal enviro regulations needed to stop climate change. Fortunately, this will be a precedent that lets them say "no, others polluted their way to wealth, we will too!"
And just because you're proud of yourself for finally cyphering your way through Glenn Beck's book doesn't automatically mean you have a valid point to make.
