NWCN weekend news had a story this morning on those awful, awful "homophobic" NIKE ads and to illustrate the "controversy, they put up Slog commenters on screen. So embarrassing.

You should have said up front that the Mexican immigrant story took place in Pennsylvania. As tragic as it is, there are more important, and local stories, to make The Morning News.

What the "competition is saying, according to:

http://www.mynorthwest.com/?nid=11&sid=76106

Firstly there is the usual and predictable and expected fundamental disagreement.

But INTENTIONAL supply reduction, deliberate closing of refineries, which IS the actual cause of lack of refinery capacity and therefore the cause of rising gasoline and diesel prices is not even under consideration here. Clueless media whores continue to expound sound and fury signifying nothing. Thanks to The Stranger all is not hopeless, just nearly so.
The good magician directs attention away from WHERE the "magical" slight-of-hand is actually taking place.
As does some "independent" media. (one more oxymoron for your lexicon)

In government, seniority rules will prevent most new ideas from being implemented in any meaningful way by new Senators, Representatives. Written letters to any in government carry more weight than e mail petitions.
But opinion polls trump all apparently.

Also (on a side note) We see from that above artickle that Larry "wide stance" Craig of Idaho, Senator and airport men's room devoté/deviate is STILL at play in the fields of the LORD. Maybe GOD loves gays after all.
