That’s Pronounced ‘Coke

posted by on July 10 at 11:07 AM

The New York State Theater—part of Lincoln Center—will now be known as the Koch Theater, after New York’s richest citizen, who just threw $100 million down the old theater-hole.

Koch is also a major donor to the Republican party, and ran for vice president on the Libertarian ticket in 1980.

i'm pretty sure Lincoln Center will still be called Lincoln Center.

just the main theatre building will be re-named.

Lincoln Center consists of more than a couple of buildings. some already named after folks (like Avery Hall).

anyway. hope he gets good seats.

Glad (I don't know why) to read the linked story and find @1 to be correct. There will be a Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. They will not be changing the name of Lincoln Center.
