It seemed to take them forever to get open in the first place. I wonder how much more that put them behind the eight ball.
We went in once for happy hour. The place was empty. They ignored us for ever, then gave lackluster service and presented the mediocre food with no care. If they didn't care, why should we? We never went back. I'm not surprised at all they are closing.
French-Asian fusion cuisine?
I'd rather just go to Paris and eat the Asian food they have there - the usual attention to detail to fresh vegetables and ingredients, but a heck of a lot cheaper than the xxxx that passes for "French" around here.
I never heard of them.
And the name is sucky...It sounds like a radio station or game system.
My experience, some time ago: It was overpriced, and the food wasn't terribly tasty. The cocktails were good, but there are much better bars within walking distance. Service was slow, but that's not saying much in Seattle, where food service lags our contemporaries.
Big time fail. Is it too late to bring back Gibson's?
Bring back the Frontier Room circa 92 int heir space...seattle is ostentatious to a fault with all these BS space restaurants!
Bring back the irish guy from Gibson's. That guy was awesome.
I second that, Jason.
even a straight guy like me agrees with that, @8.
they must have gotten better with time because by the time we first tried the place out, we thought it was outstanding and it quickly became one of my wife's favorites.
Asian flavor, French technique
and it's pronounced "kwoob"
I'm surprised the place lasted as long as it did. I was sure it would close down within a year of opening. It was a pretentious mess of a restaurant that had no chance in a city like Seattle. Were the owners from out of town?
