I still don't see how this means Jim might have a sense of humor. All this shows us is that Dan Walsh does.

Because, Paul, Mr. Davis stands to earn another fuck-ton of money from this - AND on his own terms.

Duh.

The only way he can have a sense of humor here is by knowing he has no sense of humor. Either money is the factor, which it isn't, or he thinks it shows him as x2 funny.

He has more of a sense of humor than Bil Keane, who got the Dysfunctional Family Circus to shut down their website back in 1999.

Screwups... putting the originals on the same page ruins the impression. I can remove garfield myself if you give me the original, it's seeing the strip as though there never were a garfield that makes it interesting.

From what I've heard Jim Davis actually keeps up with the webcomic community and seems to have a pretty decent sense of humor. I wouldn't be at all suprised to find out that he really loves GMG.

What if Jim Davis has been playing a cruel joke on newspapers and his syndicate by intentionally turning in awful work and still getting paid a shit ton?

Maybe he looked at the other comics in the paper and realized: "Hey, these all suck and they still get published--what if I just turned in garbage everyday, too?"

Seriously. If that scribble called "Cathy" can get printed, then surely a strip that demonstrates even the slightest artistic talent will do.

I'm glad everyone here has an absolute sense of humor better than everyone else's.

Jim Davis is apparently one of the nicer and smarter human beings on the planet. He's reportedly generous with his time. He's got a real interest in promoting graywater recycling; he has (or had?) a demo running at his house!

9: Yes, but he's not funny, so fuck him!

"One of Walsh's occasional readers is Davis, who heard about the site a few months ago. The cartoonist calls the work "an inspired thing to do" and wishes to thank Walsh for enabling him to see another side of "Garfield.""

Maybe my Blondie without Blondie Website and book will take off. Seriously, people, Garfield IS funny if you're ten--the target audience--and this new take is only mildly amusing for one or two strips, after which it becomes highly yawnable.

I thought Garfield was hilarious when I was about eight.
