You can really track who's who by whether people find it tastelessly funny or a "down right indignity", suddenly becoming their own "Stalinist Grandpas". There seems to be a continuum for senses of humor -- the more doctrinaire one is, the less humor one finds in satire about your own side. Or the more downright devoid of humor. Laughter is uplifting, smirking ain't. The humorless have no trouble smirking, tho'. It must use fewer muscles. (I know it uses fewer grey cells). so um, we are pretty much in agreement? i also don't think michelle obama has ever said anything "poisonous" regarding white people. everything she has said or written has been merely calling out the racist white power structure or reminding people racism still exists. which, to some people, somehow gets interpreted as being racist.
