Drugs How Much Pot Can You Grow?

onThat’s the question folks have been asking since 1998, when Washington voters passed a medical-marijuana initiative. Here’s the problem: The law only says patients with a doctor’s authorization can have a “60-day supply.” But some cops claim they don’t know which patients are growing in compliance with the law and which ones are abusing it. So in places like Kent, police have arrested parents and taken away their children even though they had the right paperwork.
But now, according to an email that arrived in my inbox about an hour ago, the state Department of Health has issued draft guidelines that are easy for patients to follow and for cops to understand. (The guidelines are required under a controversial bill passed by the legislature on the 2007.) A 60-day supply under the guidelines would be 18 immature plants, 6 mature plants, and 24 ounces of ready-to-use pot.
The Dept of Health had recommended more, but withdrew the recommendation after Gov. Gregoire balked. Here’s a visual of the current recommendation:
18 little ones like these:
Six of these:
And 24 of these:
Before it’s set in stoned, the Dept. of Health is providing a public-comment period, and a hearing next month in Tumwater, of all places.

I don't know if it's even possible for one person to smoke 24 ounces of pot in six months. That is a lot of fucking weed.
Don't hate on Scumwater!
I am so glad that I have a stash after seeing these pics.
BRB!
My lungs hurt looking at that much weed.
Wait, wait, wait! I read that as 18 immature plants, or 6 mature plants, or 24 ounces of ready-to-use pot, your choice of one of those three. But its 18 immature plants, 6 mature plants, and 24 ounces of ready-to-use pot TOTAL? Damn, nobody's got the glauc that bad!
i'd hit that shit so hard.
@1: that's sixty DAYS, son.
that's a 1/2 oz./day.
so, you're right, but it's even worse than you thought.
I like that the Department of Health was calling for more. A bowl is what, about 1/40 an ounce (for a big bowl)? So at 1/2 ounce a day that's 10 good sized bowls. And the fucking department of health was like, nope that's not enough.
Just judging by those pictures, it seems like 18 immature plants don't even come close to the same yield as a single mature plant.
@9 That is an And not an Or that means you get the little ones and the big ones
One of the reasons it is that much is because many patients can't smoke for whatever reason, so they need to turn it into food, which means using much more of the drug.
Also, check out this article about mushrooms:
Study shows "Spiritual" effects of mushrooms last a year
Okay. So I went and read the draft rule. Why does the definition of "useable marijuana" include the leaves? I thought those weren't usable.
1 pack cigs for sixty days comes out to be 4.4lbs, and Dom should have removed himself from this since he helped get this number and did not help out the patients here!
How Much Pot Can You Grow?
Sounds like a challenge to me.
@11 good point. And for the ones who can smoke, I hope to God they're using a vaporizer, because inhaling that much smoke on a daily basis would be hell on the lungs.
It's been said before, that's a shit load of weed (don't tell the cops)!
#8 WTF? Are you using a cereal bowl to smoke pot? You should get 10 bowls out of an 8th. MAYBE a quarter.
