Why YES, you DO need to start watching Weeds!

I can't beleive you haven't yet!

But contrast that with the scene of the other son masturbating to naked photos of his mother....and maybe, just maybe, only youth pastors need to be watching.

One of my favorite moments in Weeds is the uncle telling his nephew how to clean up after himself after masterbating. Classic.

if that is supposed to be Silas from behind, either he's hit the gym, or they went with a much hotter body double. Either way, no complaints here.

Yeah, even with his recent bulking-up, I sincerely doubt that's Hunter Parish there. But he's plenty hot when shown from the front, naked butt or no.

Dan, you of all people should have noticed that he appears to be eating out her belly button.

Also, why not just watch porn? Oh right. Straight adoration.

Weeds is pretty much fantastic.

And yes, Cylis (sp?) did hit the gym during his summer break... a lot. And he got older... and hotter... did I mention hotter?

Dan, if you haven't watched Weeds start with season 1. Work your way through all of them. Season 1 was so great that it's hard not to look at season 2 as a disappointment but it is working its way back up.

I don't adore straight boys. I like my boys light in the loafers. But, man, that back is worth it -- and the woman is fully clothed/obscured, so... I'm willing to make an exception.

Me too, I LOVE The Mountain Goats!

Weeds is awesome. Last season was a bit off in my opinion, but this season is more than making up for it. "Excuse me, I have to go kill my dead husband's grandmother now."

Silas is hotter this season. I'm liking him as a character more and more.

Who cares about Silas? I love me some Mary Louise Parker. Wowza.

Watched the first season on DVD - finished it, but couldn't really get into it. It's desperate Housewives with pot. Kinda boring IMO.

Second Mountain Goats song to be featured on Weeds... yes. This gives me hope for the next season (when it comes out on Netflix)

I'm with ya Dougsf @16. I netflix'd the first season and watched the first few episodes. I'm around the pot culture enough to not find anything in the show interesting. The sensationalistic "she's a single mom, and she SELLS WEED!!OMG!" is just too much. LOTS of people sell pot, and it's far less of a big deal than they ever act like on that show (at least in the few episodes I watched)

You're just figuring this out now, Dan?

But seriously, Weeds is one of the only TV shows worth watching these days, along with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

@18 It's not like the initial premise is the only thing that people like about the show, or nobody would be watching it at this point. The writing is good, the acting is great, and you can't deny that we all want to fuck Mary-Louise Parker.

@18 - I think you touched on the other think - pot culture. I'm around it enough, and it's annoying.

I can only speak to the first season, but the woman who's her supplier - Jesus, that character makes the woman in the Pinesol ads seem subtle. I realize that sassy black women really do exist, but it's just so far over the top it was painful.

YEAH YOU DO!!! BTW - check out some interviews of Hunter Parrish (hot guy on your screen) definitely plays for our team. That's got my girlfriends piping hot mad!!

This is a great season to start also cause they're reinventing all the story lines.

I do wanna fuck MLP, but not enough to watch the show.

I have seen 1 2 and 3. 1 was good, funny how much changed from the pilot to the second episode. Eh, it happens. 2 sucked ass until the last episode. Kevin Nealon and the uncle are funny at times, but the plot just sways so much. 3 ended terribly methinks. The rest is so homogenized, Desperate Housewives with pot was an apt analogy. That shit is written for hip 40 year olds. Good TV in my humble opinion includes Trailer Park Boys, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Flight of the Concords. Weeds is just so damn tired. PS MLP is hot, but shes not that hot.

Mary Louise Parker? So that's where she went... yet another show I'll have to catch on DVD some year. When Charles and I wind up in prison for breaking into Natalie Merchant's laundry basket, will somebody bring me this, and The Wire, on DVD?

Do people still read these older threads?

In any case... Season 1 was kinda lame. I'd start with Season 2. And the first part of Season 2 ain't so hot either. But the in the second half it ramps up, ends on a good cliffhanger, and then Season 3 is great. Season 4 started up kinda rocky (new setting, etc.) but the past few episodes have been pretty amazing.
