Since the entire world already knows about the awesomeness of HBO's potty-mouthed American frontier drama, I won't go on and on about it. Suffice it to say that I'm in the latter half of season one and deeply in love, mostly with the scriptwriters, though the dark n' stormy Timothy Olyphant is certainly easy on the eyes. Sometimes... Swearingen is an amazing character, but the rest of the cast is great, too -- yes, even Calamity Jane. I won't reveal the plot twists and turns, but they're fuuuuun! And some of the nastiest characters you're ever likely to come across.

Apparently Milch abandoned Deadwood very quickly to work on John from Cincinnati, which I frankly just don't get -- sorry! -- so the abbreviated 3rd season looks as rushed as it really was.

And if you haven't seen Rome yet, honey ...

Another great and waaaay overlooked series is "Firefly", starring the ultra-yummy Nathan Filion and some additional eye candy.

Makes you realize the tee-vee isn't all dreck after all.
