This is a job for a sadomasochist. There is nothing worse than reading bad sci-fi.

Paul, out of curiosity, how many books do you read in a week? A month?

Even with weening myself off of TV, I still can't find the time to finish a book in a timely fashion. The time you dedicate must be mind boggling.

I guess if you get off on telling people their writing sucks, this would be a good job.

@2: Three or four books a week, usually, not counting comics, internet, or magazines. I don't watch TV, but I do have a frequently-turned over Netflix account.

@1:

Try reading bad playscripts sometime, I'll bet it's just as painful.

I have multiple openings for someone to write and maintain software for a small Seattle company. Must commit to 5-10 hours of work per week. Will be compensated with sunshine, lollipops and roses. Experienced IT professionals will be moved to the front of the line.

@5: Done that. It was when I was searching for monologues in school. At one point I realized that about three quarters of the drama library seemed to be given over to bad plays.

@7,

That's the book publishing industry for you.
