You've never waited for a table-for-two for almost two hours while many tables-for-four opened up. And then when you were finally seated, you weren't told that everything you wanted on the menu is sold out, except for one dried out pork chop.

Unfortunately, I agree with #1. For reasons unknown to me, this place has gone down hill quite a bit -- which is weird, considering it appears to have the same staff as it did 3-4 years ago, when it was a true destination restaurant.

Today, troublesome situations and dry dinners are more often the norm than delicious ribs. And I wouldn't dare trying them for brunch again.

Hhhh, it's true that deliciousness never goes out of style. Unfortunately, blatently-overcharging-our-table-40-dollars-in-the-hopes-that-we-wouldn't-notice-and-just-pay does.

I have always enjoyed that place, but I agree their food has gone downhill. Last time it seemed like someone dumped a whole salt shaker into my dinner.

Still a good choice, but the place is clearly not what it used to be. The "Crab Cakes" suck ass. Although I am somewhat fond of the Hush Puppies at Long John Silvers, you can't really pass them off as Crab Cakes.

@1 got it. You've never sat outside and waited an hour for a table for two while other couples waltzed in and were seated immediately at the two-tops you kept hopefully eyeing through the window.

That being said, once you finally are seated, the staff is lovely, and so far the only food that's been disappointing was the mac-n-cheese. Not enough cheese, too much heat. To balance the disappointing mac, the potato salad and fried chicken are sublime.

I'm with all the folks who mention the wait and the inevitable disappointment after waiting.

Then again, I'm spoiled by how easy it is to get into a great restaurant without reservations.

The Kingfish is delicious, but only if you've called ahead.
