The real site of this pole is on one of the side streets near Alki, I believe. It is a pretty great sculpture if you see it in person... even better than the photo.

That uptight landscaping offends me, but provides an interesting contrast to the weedy pole. I just wish the dude had come up with a more evocative title than "Pole". Maybe "Space Invaders".

I agree, that Home Depot concrete-block landscaping is vile, and with the little pyramids? Urgh. But the dead ivy is funny. God damn, I hate ivy.
