Alas, poor traffic circle
I knew him well, Horatio
He was a circle of infinite majesty
A King amongst obstructions

But now knocked down in his prime
Unable to withstand the buffets
And ravages of pitbulls
Nor SUVs either

i was out of town when this happened.

question: the kid punched the guy & what, he fell & hit his head or broke his neck? seems more like manslaughter than murder.

the girl who called in the calvary to avenge her squirting should get charged with 2nd degree manslaughter.

lessee...

girl mad at guy
girl talks to friend who convinces her to call badass boyfriend
badass boyfriend punch guy
guy dies.

sounds like a conspiracy.

conspiracy: as an agreement of two or more people to commit a crime, or to accomplish a legal end through illegal actions.

@2, I'm seething, of course, but through clenched teeth I will spit out this much to you: calvary is a hillock...cavalry is a mounted force.

Pray for America.

1. Traffic circle guest SLOGs
2. Meanie SLOG commenters all agree: traffic circle's own blog sucks
3. Meanie SLOG commenters ambush traffic circle
4. Meanie SLOG commenters force traffic circle to eat an entire box of Fruity Pebbles in one bite
5. Traffic circle hurls, up and dies

And that's a true story.

3 teenage girls harass an old man. They bring in a young thug to help (as though 3 teenagers against an old man need help). If the teenagers and thug were white and the old man was black...how would this be being played out in the media? Would anyone to blaming the man for being "grouchy"?

jane doe- I agree with the sentiment that this should not be a witch hunt trial, and with the other guy what said it seems like manslaughter, tops. The thug was an asshole supreme, but I severely doubt he expected even an old guy to die after one friggin' punch. People (especially media) are just enjoying a rush of outrage, probably to the detriment of true justice.

Dan Savage advocates for the Iraq War in The Stranger--Oct. 2002

"War may be bad for children and other living things, but there are times when peace is worse for children and other living things, and this is one of those times."

"In the meantime, invading and rebuilding Iraq will not only free the Iraqi people, it will also make the Saudis aware of the consequences they face if they continue to oppress their own people while exporting terrorism and terrorists. The War on Iraq will make it clear to our friends and enemies in the Middle East (and elsewhere) that we mean business: Free your people, reform your societies, liberalize, and democratize... or we're going to come over there, remove you from power, free your people, and reform your societies for ourselves."
