In related news, Larry Harmon, the original Bozo the Clown, is dead at 83.

If bad news comes in threes, then Krusty better be looking out...

"Tell me that was part of your trick."
"No, Michael it wasn't . . ."

". . . it was part of my illusion!"

Google the lawyer's name... the web makes him look like some sort of notorious low-quality NY plaintiff's attorney, who also had a medical degree but lost his license.

I don't know how much the lawyer knows about intellectual property law, but I'd be very surprised if he managed to tag the theaters with much here, especially if the theaters didn't know they were being duped by the fake clowns.

Russian clowns performing with trained cats sounds so cute.

A conundrum: is a worse clown a better clown? Since clowning is horrible, the better you are at it, the more horrible you become, right?

clown drama aside... thanks for that picture of the cat doing a handstand. It kind of makes this shitty day a little less shitty.

And where are the clowns? There ought to be clowns. Well, maybe next year.

No way. That is crazy.
There is a play in there.... A comedy most likely... with clowns and cats and crazy lawyers and russian guys.

Saw that show at the Seattle Rep, and it totally sucked. $50 tickets, too (given to us my boyfriend's mother). It was terrible, terrible, hollow and terrible. So terrible that I commented on a Slog entry about its inclusion on a Stranger Suggests list, and asked them to reconsider, which they did.

God, it sucked. And it seemed like it would be much better. So this actually makes quite a bit of sense.

I'm curious about the cats...Could the imposters' cats do handstands? How many trained cats are out there anyway?

I went to see the phony cat show and it was very disappointing! At the time I was really shocked that the show had had so much hype since the performance was so cheesy.
