Also look for "Let's Be Black", a canned coffee drink. I think it's Korean, but sold throughout Eastern Asia. I was once there with an African-American coworker who bought like a case of it for his family back here as a souvenir.

In addition to this horrible violation of human rihgts, in China they have taken over Tibet, they can't nobody really vote, and stuff like that too. but a dated stupid toothpase ad REALLY proves they're racist. That damn global capitalism, once again.

Did you know--magazines like Cosmo are booming in India as per NYT and they advertise skin lightening cream. Uh-huh. In the Indian Maxim, they also have articles like "how to catch a Gori" ie a light skinned foreigner chick.

Meanwhile if you know the words to lots of Spanish language songs, they often talk about la negra la morena la rubia etc., en cuba hay muchos frutos ..pero you prefiero el coco !

they just talk about skin color a lot. It doesn't seem to be racist when they do.
Or is it?

When I traveled in Asia in the 80's it was called "Darkie Toothpaist" and the guy was much blacker. but his teeth were WHITE.
