onNorthwest Film Forum just happened to be playing a pair of films about Yves Saint Laurent the weekend he died.
If you’d still like to pay tribute to the inventor of the pantsuit, you still have time.
NWFF is playing the biographical documentary Yves Saint Laurent: His Life and Times again this Friday at 7:15 and 9:15 pm, and Yves Saint Laurent: 5 Avenue Marceau 75116 Paris, a doc about the designer’s old-school, labor-intensive atelier in the year before it closed, on Friday at 7 and 9 pm.

It looks like she's getting ready to catch an incoming Bosnian mortar round with her BARE HANDS!!!
The 5 Avenue Marceau documentary is the best film about fashion. Ever.
Caveat emptor: it will really really make you want to smoke.
Nice heels.
Pantsuits are for cankles!!!
Weird that there weren't any pictures available showing the pant suit w/o the coat.
@5: Uh, of course there were. But none in which she was making a grateful gesture toward the sky.
OMG. Where did you find that picture?!?! That is the airline that I used to work for...before they went bankrupt anyway.
@2 You are so right.
When the ladies of the atelier cry because they have pleased Monsieur with their work, it is a thing of grandiose beauty.
Speaking of anorexic models, the one on the left is hot but the one on the right is positively skeletal. Her face looks like a skull. Ah, the joy of cocaine in the seventies, I guess.
@9,
And is it just me or is she missing a tooth? I'm surprised no one has commented on that yet.
@7,
That might explain Hillary's gesture in the photo. I flew ATA once. I have never been so terrified during landing before or since.
