As to the civil rights case you betcha the city should pay every dime.....spending 22 hours and about 10K on a legal brief (multiple issues, putting together evidence from 6 other people, etc.) seems reasonable to make a claim for a few hundred thou. You don't expect to win a claim for a few hundred thousand of collars with just 6 hours of attorney time do you? If you had a business with bills for $200,000 you think your attorney should just put in 5-10 hours and hope for the best? Thinking the City won't fight like hell?

I don't think anyone should have to live in sub-standard housing, and I guess some of those motels on Aurora were pretty bad (that's why the rent was so cheap), but all of sudden the city is cracking down on them after years of being in that state. Why? Are real estate developers behind this - hoping the motel owners will abandon their properties making room for more condos on cheaply attained land?

So, I really can't imagine how someone could do this with a knife.

Considering how crowded Tokyo streets can get, I can see it. He was probably able to stab several people before anyone (other than his victims) noticed. If he had used a gun, the gunshot would have alerted the crowd immediately.

Susan spends more time running spell check on her noquarter.net posts than she does here, but the quality of the writing isn't better. The quality of the reasoning is identically insane. The fact that she pretends to want to support Obama here and doesn't pretend as much over there doesn't prove anything, given her history of dishonesty and cheap scams.

Anyway, PC decided to interpret my link to SusanUnPC's blog entries as "tacitly conceding its merit" -- of the things she said. She just admitted she is SusanUnPC. Sometimes known as unPC and Susan Hu. Probably ouch @19 is her too; she has a pattern of posting one long post followed by two or three follow-ups under other names, including ouch, Odrama and hillary2012, among others.

She'd cover her tracks better if she waited a while instead of posting them all within a few minutes, but perhaps there are cars lined up at the drive thru window and her break is over.

Also, it's one thing to stab someone, and it's quite another to stab someone to death. That's a serious amount of hard work (or stunning precision if everyone got it in the jugular).
