History The Civil War, According to Fifth Graders
posted by June 16 at 10:28 AM
onFrom Mr. Roemer’s Fifth-Grade Class in Tampa comes a short play about the Civil War. Says Mr. Roemer:
This play was written by the students in groups. Each group took one act. A committee of eight students then compiled the acts, provided continuity, and entered the work into a computer (including HTML) or edited first drafts. About the only advice I gave was: “Keep Working, it isn’t good enough!”
Read the play here. (And thanks for the heads-up, MetaFilter.)

I thought the South won.
They're still getting us involved in foreign wars of expansion that have nothing to do with US interests, like Iraq, Iran, Iceland, and then Ireland.
And still bankrupting the hardworking citizens of our country.
Cool! I'm looking forward to the Further Adventures of Master Whip!
Which part is the part about the war, again?
Best Play EVAR!
..i smell TONY !
My question is ... why are they only selling for $100 ...
I'm pretty sure I sat through this at the Rep last season.
Bartlett Sher is interested in optioning it for Intiman as a Whoopi Goldberg vehicle.
And Master Whip Mr Roemer kept sayin- ' "About the only advice I gave was: “Keep Working, it isn’t good enough!”' tee hee.
