Thanks, Dennis, That Was Fun

posted by on June 11 at 16:15 PM

The House has voted to send articles of impeachment against President Bush to a committee that is not likely to hold hearings before the end of his term….

Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, who ran for president earlier this year, insists that his resolution deserves more consideration.

Nuttier than a fruitcake, but probably has a point (or 35).

Well... I can't disagree with him.

But clearly he missed the class about timing being everything.

@1 - I agree, both King George and Prince Cheney are nuttier than fruitcakes, but I think McSame is only tetched in the head.

Can we impeach Kucinich, for repeatedly wasting everyone's time with his endless complaints about everything?

But is it surrounded by greenspace?

This is why Congress has such a dramatically lower approval rating than President Bush - retards like Kucinich wasting the public's funding of their saleries on silly little time wasters like this.

This is why scumbags like Bush stay in office. Congress has had at least 35 chances, according to Kucinich, to put this bastard President in his place, and they've consistently wussed out. Maybe it was a waste of time but I, for one, am glad he put THEM in THEIR place.

And at least history will note that someone objected.

In any case, it's good to have everything listed and annotated for easy reference.

13 has the point that others, who feel Kucinich's actions were a waste of time, are missing. Kucinich is fully aware of the lack of traction on impeachment. However, by placing these issues into the congressional record, he has literally made history. If in the future there are any historical debates regarding the relative criminality of the Bush administration, it will be far more difficult to laugh off or play dumb. History will record that these accusations were in play and thus raise doubt regarding any future revisionist history by the right.

One of the reasons Dukakis was so reviled by the right wing was that by declaring that Sacco and Vanzetti did not receive a fair trial, he officially rewrote all the text books on that chapter of history.
