Dan, thanks for posting this, it has been awhile since I've heard it.

When I was growing up my best friend bought this album (yes, LP, because I am damn old). His mom promptly told him that he was not allowed to keep it, so, instead of throwing it away, he gave it to me and we spent hours listening to it at my house.

That was funny. Thanks for providing the clip. It reminded me that "Class Clown" along with, "The Button-Down Mind of Bob Newhart" by Bob Newhart, "Big Bamboo" by Cheech & Chong, "Let's Get Small" by Steve Martin and virtually any of the work of Rudy Ray Moore, Bill Cosby & Richard Pryor remain argueably, the greatest American comedy records of all time. RIP George Carlin (the Hippy-dippy weatherman with the Hippy-dippy weather).

And I was so sad when I heard he died!! All the memories of childhood and wanting to call mom and ask if she heard and how sad did it make her!! By the way, who has the Tom Leahr albums? (not sure if I spelled that correctly!)

Tom Lehrer. Great stuff. "Poisoning Pigeons In The Park", "Fight Fiercely, Harvard", "The Old Dope Peddler". He's still alive, too.

My mom and dad had his FM/AM album and like you, we were forbidden to listen. Also like you, we did. He was one of the last real hippies (except for my high school government and economics teacher who is still kicking) and I'm going to miss him.
