well, it's great to see someone so prominent in so prominent a medium shred the douche at length and with such obvious passion.

Facts. Truth. All very nice.

Bloviating infotainment talking head - it's all very too much.

olberman is the only place on TV where you hear anything remotely true that last longer than 10 seconds.

but it's pissing in the wind - no one hears.

@8: Olbmermann's ratings beat O'Reilly's in the all-important 25-54 demographic for the first time ever recently. So somebody's listening.

Now that the surge is producing some short-term stabilization in Iraq, we have to be very careful how we talk about the war in the general election. Everyone on the left is eager to end the war, and sees it as a collosal mistake, but the average voter never had this level of bile.

Americans do NOT like defeatism, even when it is accurate. Vietnam was double plus fucked in 1972, and McGovern still got his ass whupped. Picking at the Iraq scab is satisfying but ineffective. Focus on the economy and how the Rs can't run the country- an argument in which New Orleans is every bit as important as Baghdad.

How about: "McCan't"

As in:

Can't get troops out.
Can't help economy.
Can't get bin Laden.
Can't tell Shi'ite from Sunni.
**Can't change it all.**

Is there a test for Alzheimers? Perhaps McCain's doctors missed it...

I love Keith Olbermann. He's the bees knees!

@12

No, unPC, calling McCain 4th grade epithets is cute, but not your strong suit. You should spread false rumors about video of McCain saying he paid for an abortion for his black mistress. Isn't that your specialty?

America is still in Iraq because the most powerful Americans, those living in the heartland and the south are not telling their Republican law makers to get out of Iraq. It's not complex. Maybe most American DO want America to stay in Iraq for 100 years.

From one old fart (me) to another, trollup-faced cunt is an appropriate epithet for McCain's opprobrium. What a douche.

Olbermann is in serious need of a tough editor. He's got great stuff to say, but he could be so much better with some pruning, and by toning down the self-importance and drama. He comes across like he's had 2 martinis before airtime, instead of the recommended 1.

#8, I agree that in the great scheme of the universe, Keith isn't all that important.

But there are so few sources of truth out there. Keith is one I count on. Jon Stewart on The Daily Shown is another.

Anyone here subscribe to "The Nation"? Could it be considered a truth source? Or just truthieness?
