Utah Republican says he’s happy he lost primaryU.S. Rep. Chris Cannon, a conservative Republican who lost his primary to an opponent who accused him of not being conservative enough, said Wednesday that his defeat frees him to move on to pursue other opportunities.
Here’s hoping scores of additional Republican members of Congress are similarly pleased at being freed to pursue other opportunities come November.
It's a double-edge sword with these two Jackasses. Cannon is one of the biggest Assholes I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. The other guy, seems to be just as bad though; it's pretty much expected in Utah.
Yea, unfortunately he's not going back to Washington because some even MORE conservative asshole is taking his place. This district is the heart of Mormon country and voted for Bush like 77% in 2004. At least there will be fewer repugs in Congress and NONE in the White House come January 2009.
Beware of hubris.
