For about 30 minutes, Michelle Obama launched into a rant about the evils of America, and how America is to blame for the problems of Africa. Michelle personally blamed President Clinton for the deaths of millions of Africans and said America is responsible for the genocide of the Tutsis and other ethnic groups. She then launched into an attack on "whitey", and talked about solutions to black on black crime in the realm of diverting those actions onto white America. Her rant was fueled by the crowd: they reacted strongly to what she said, so she got more passionate and enraged, and that's when she completely loses it and says things that have made the mouths drop of everyone who's seen this.
The "tape" is a DVD that Trinity United sold on its website, and possibly offered free for download up until March 2008 when Trinity's site was scrubbed and the DVDs were no longer offered for sale.
Maybe Hillary should comment on her supporters being complete idiots?

In every election there is a winner and there are losers. She lost the primary. Simple as that. It was as fair a contest as we can hope to have in our democratic system and now it is time to move on. I voted for Hillary in our caucus. At that time in various arenas, I found Obama supporters to be as petulant as what's on Hil's blog now. Eventually Hillary lost my support because though her statements and conduct she lost what I thought made her a strong, skillful candidate. Whether her own doing, her husband's, or the imbeciles running her campaign, she lacked command over how her campaign was run. If she cannot master that, then how can she run a presidential administration?
Unlike these tantrum-throwers at the Hillary site, I'll whole-heartedly support Obama. I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone can say they'll stay home or vote for McCain if Obama's the nominee. I think it's mainly tantrum throwing at this point. @ 30 - legally, yeah, but Washington is also at-will, and I doubt that 10 has the money to prove that he was fired for his political views rather than just because.

@34 & 35: Who exactly has called you racist? You've enunciated a rational reason for not voting for Obama - you think he is too inexperienced to be president. I haven't heard anyone or seen any blog postings that say that it is racism to merely prefer another candidate to Obama. The mutterings of racism start rising when purported Democrats start angrily spitting about how there is no way they are every going to vote for that Barack Hussein Obama guy, but can't enunciate a specific policy disagreement or character flaw that is influencing their decision.
Does anybody use their brain anymore? Voting for the opposing candidate just because your first choice didn't come out on top makes about as much sense as burning your house down because the bookshelves are too high. if hillary wants to be VP she has an incentive to keep the democratic party as divided as possible. by doing so, she'll force barack to pick her up as a running mate. with a unified party before the convention, there would be no point picking her as a VP. If barack can pick a VP BEFORE mccain, he basically erases all this talk of party division, and can go on an aggressive attack all the way til november.

alm, the explicit problem that is unique to this election has been people complaining about the candidate supporters, not the candidates themselves. especially between obama and clinton supporters.
We were among those in Minnesota who supported Hillary at our Democratic caucus, believing that she offered America significant leadership qualities. Throughout the primary season, we have spoken on her behalf.
In view of this, we were very disappointed to hear her graceless speech in response to the South Dakota and Montana primaries. Her failure to acknowledge Senator Obama’s delegate victory in a conciliatory manner seemed to us to be a glaring abdication of the leadership we had hoped to find in her.
Conversely, Senator Obama’s generous and congenial references to her were in marked contrast to the tone of her self-serving and competitive remarks. Her most important job now to help bring factions of the party together – her statement did nothing to achieve that. We do not believe that she served the interests of the party.
Inasmuch as we can no longer admire her as we did, we are moving on in full and respectful support of Barack Obama.
However many million voters she might claim through the primary/caucus process, she should subtract the two of us!

Hillary is a superb person and the only candidate with the capacity to actually govern. Barack lacks the depth of knowledge and governmental experience required to manage the presidency. John is a solo act with more feistiness than logic, so it will be impossible for him to create a real team to accomplish programs, if he can decide what he really wants.

I don't understand what you guy's problem is. Obviously the best way to protest the lack of a female president is to tirelessly work to undermine undermine women's rights and equality for the next four to eight years.

I don't see any reason she would want to be the VP on an Obama ticket. Anyone hear Carter's comments? He more or less drew equivalence between those who wouldn't support Obama because of racism and those who prefered a president with more experience. I think she could suspend her campaign until the convention and let Obama carry on as the "presumed nominee" until he can or cannot muster the votes at convention. She should of course be true to her word to endorse Obama if he wins the nomination. Until then, Hillary, Bill and Chelsea could take a well deserved time of rest and reflection.
The best way to work towards unity amongst Democrats is to fix the nomination process and there is clearly many rules and procedures that need fixing. In the short term, maybe the democratic leadership sholud stop bullying and hounding Hillary to quit or concede. She has every right to ask that the race continue until the delegate votes are officially cast at convention - unless Dean, Pelosi and Brazile are going to change them rules before convention.
I am SHOCKED by some of these comments from Hillary's website. I know that her supporters were disappointed that she didn't win the nomination, but to think that ANYONE would vote for John McCain just because HRC isn't the Democratic nominee is just plain STUPID.
Obama is the nominee. Obama is our candidate. Obama is the ONLY CHOICE that we have. A vote for anyone other than Obama in November is a DE FACTO vote for John McCain.
Go ahead and write in HRC's name if you want to. Throw away your vote. Go right ahead. But I tell you now.... if you liked George W. Bush and his vision for the world, then you will love John McCain. Obama is the only choice that we have if we are to put our nation back on track and reclaim our standing as the leader of the world.
