I like how this post lets the picture tell most of the story.  Very effective.

My only question: Why does Canada's army wear the same hideous shade of green that US soldiers have to suffer?

Yes, here in Canada you can be out and in the army. In fact, there was both a recruiting booth and a parade entry at the Pride Parade in Toronto.

@5 - Thankfully, its now *just* the army.

Back in the 80s (I think) they wanted all Forces personell to wear the same thing, regardless of what branch of the Armed Forces they were in. Air Force or Navy.

They stopped that when they realized it was just stupid.

I think it's just a sign on the post behind him that is creating that illusion. The ear seems fine to me.
