I’ve said before, and I’ll say it again: Support Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, and you’ll save gay and lesbian lives.

Our military has absolutely nothing to do with protecting our nation or making us safer, quite the opposite. The US military carries out wars for political propaganda and war/oil industry profits.

If you oppose our nation’s psychopathic wars and militarism, then supporting the ban makes perfect sense. Some unconventional methods are required to deprive the military of the troops they need to carry out these wars, and one of those methods is DADT. I’ve read that as many as 40,000 gay men and lesbians would join the armed forces if the ban were lifted. Keeping DADT in place saves their lives and prevents them from becoming accomplices to our country’s insane lies and war crimes.

ICE likes doing this on I-5 south into Tijuana a lot recently--they stop all traffic and ask for papers for everyone, and will haul out anyone who's papers aren't in order.

Wouldn't surprise me if they're doing this at the Peace Arch crossing too.
