Killing the “Whitey” Rumor

posted by on June 6 at 15:05 PM

Heard the one about that secret tape of Michelle Obama railing against “whitey”? You know, the tape that Republican operatives are going to bring out a few months down the road in an Obama-destroying October surprise…

I’ve heard about it, repeatedly, but I didn’t want to post about it until I could say something definitive—otherwise I’m just becoming a part of this depressing phenomenon by which people believe crazy rumors to be true just because they’ve heard about them from a couple of different sources.

But now it seems the facts have stacked up hard against the “whitey” rumor. First of all, Obama has denied it—after expressing annoyance at even being asked about it. But perhaps more convincingly for those inclined to believe that Michelle Obama went on a wild rant about “whitey” and his evils: The rumor is strikingly similar to a rumor about candidates’ spouses that pops up almost every election cycle. It’s also extremely similar to the plot of a 2006 political novel. And finally, the guy who’s pushing the rumor? Well, he’s can’t keep his story straight, can’t stand up to Reason, and isn’t very polite.

I find the plot of the 2006 political thriller eerie in its prescience.

However, I do not believe the smoking gun, errr...tape story.

That sux. Remember these are the people that were able to smear and question Senator Kerry's service, eventhough, none of the bastards set foot in Vietnam, so they hire a bunch of right wing vets to spread rumors.

They can do the same here. Hire a concern white folks PAC and Boom it gets play in battleground states.

These Mo Fos are shady. The worst thing is to dismiss them.

These kind of things get no air time in Washington, but they do in Ohio, PA, and FLA. Lets hope senator Obama's campaign is ready for them.

...and the guy pushing the rumor happens to be our very own unPC's co-blogger / co-world-class dickface larry johnson. kudos, kids! well played!

he also started -- make that tried to start -- a rumor about obama picking up a little man-on-man action "on the DL," as they like to say. of course mr. johnson was classy enough not to publish any links to this story. he was just sayin' is all.

It's funny how SusanUnPC makes noises of "unity" here while pushing this crap at NoQuarter with Larry Johnson.

Remember, you're talking about bloggers who engage in so much race-baiting they have to periodically remind their fans not to directly threaten Obama's life. Or rather, not threaten him *on their blog*.

oh, and the people so diligently spreading this bullshit around are also democrats working [unofficially] on behalf of the clintons.

Sue the motherfucker. It's not true, he knows it's not true, and he's saying it with intent to harm. That's libel, open and shut.

Hey, I heard McCain likes to secretly dress up as an Eastern Orthodox nun and let his wife spank his bare behind with a wooden spatula that's been dipped in chocolate pudding - pass it on!

If someone does have the poor taste to ask Michelle Obama about this, I hope she levels them with a most righteous, eye-ball rolling "bitch, puhleez" look.

Wait, unPC = SusanUnPc? That's absolutely hilarious.

Larry Johnson used to get my respect. Unless I'm getting confused, he was a contributor to Outfoxed and used to guest blog on intelligence issues on AMERICAblog. Now all he seems to do is lead a ragtag group of loonie bloggers.

A few days ago, NoQuarterUSA was saying the tape would be out "tomorrow".

yes, i'm sure michelle hates whitey--i mean, at least half of her in-laws are whiteys!

unPC can't be SusanUnPc. Why would she bother commenting on Slog?

Besides:

* SusanUnPC appears to know how to type
* unPC has entered the bargaining phase, while SusanUnPc still seems to be in denial

Dude....she's a Puget Sound local, a local political activist and a well known blogger on dailykos (not anymore!) and now noquarter. she even held a howard dean rally at her house!

times have changed.

if it in an email, old people think its true! especially if there's 2 or 3 folders you have to open to get to the content.

This unPC revelation made my weekend. So funny, even if it's just somebody bored and trolling by reposting her insane crap here; completely tragic and hilarious.

#18 - weird and true. Nearly every froward I get from my parents is like 4 folders deep!

My favorite old people/email story comes from my co-worker. When she replies to her grandparent's emails, they prefer that she erase the original message "so that it doesn't waste so much paper".

It seems they print every email they receive before reading it.

Sounds like half the people where I work. Better yet, they then just leave it on the printer for someone else to eventually recycle.

How many Seattle area rabidly pro-Clinton bloggers going by the on-line name of unPC do you suppose there are?

Still, it is hilarious to see her "concern troll is concerned" schtick here while she's trolling more obviously at NoQuarter.

it's her w7ngman, et al. trust me on this one. unPC/PC and SusanUnPC are the same batshitcrazy broad.

#25, how do you know? #15 and #24 pretty much sum up why I'm skeptical.

On the other hand, this would support my theory that PC/unPC has a dissociative personality disorder. When even the Hillbotosphere started to recognize that Obama won and unPC changed his/her name to PC, I couldn't help but wonder if some kind of vital blood vessel had finally given out.

#22, my co-workers do that, too. The people at our parent company in D.C. have taken to attaching this little green tree clip-art with "Do you really need to print this email?" in their signature. To parody such an obviously stupid question, I started attaching a little blue man with a "WTF"-style question mark above his head and "Did I really need to write this email?"

People do weird things when they're desperate and stupid. UnPC's posts here have been positively clinical in their denial of reality, as she ransacked every corner of her soul for reasons why a black man can't be president. Pure desperation.

Now she's making reasonable noises, but I've had a look over that THAT SITE -- I had previously managed to avoid it -- and I'm shocked. Flabbergasted, actually. And she's far from the worst of it. Hearing rabid Clinton supporters tear apart mothers of kids heading to Iraq soon is just...not OK. And that's UnPC's crowd. She chose them. She's a leader there. So, yeah: UnPC, you're not OK, and you're not welcome here, and I'll be making an effort to drive you out of here.

Ever ask yourself why all these pro-war McCain/Bush 08 fools do everything they can to avoid combat but love to have others die in their place?

Why?

Because they like to LIE.

God says that's a sin. And those who serve LIES are Satanists.

Hmmm.

Not true - he gave that up when he became a Muslim and got his third wife.
