Er, have you ever read The Stranger? It ain't Reader's Digest either.
What a whiner.
Mr. Poe will speak for everyone in 3...2...1...
That's unfortunate.
MYSPACE IS TEH COOLEST!!1
Let's look at the details. You have:
- unsupervised teenage boys
- unsupervised teenage girl
- alcohol
That's a horrible combination. Where are all these kids' parents?
Also, not a good idea for such a brain surgeon to get into a stranger's car and down almost a whole bottle of wine with drunk teenage boys (who should be locked up for what they did, don't get me wrong.) Forget the illustration, I'm offended by the amount of stupidity here.
i was unsupervised & drunk a lot in high school. i never gang raped a girl. i didn't even know what "pulling a train" was.
i blame porn.
Juvie? I thought cases like this were the "poster child" for charging juveniles as adults. Those boys could learn a lot about pulling a train over in Walla Walla.
I also was unsupervised and drank alot in high school, and I never was gang raped. Teenagers do stupid shit -- that's the point of being that age. Acting all horrified because there were drunk boys and girls together with no parents is ridiculous. Be horrified at the gang rape. Let's focus here, people.
@5,
And if a teenage boy had been drinking with those guys and subsequently gang raped, what would you say then? Oh right. Men have the presumption of not being fuckholes and don't have to take the necessary action not to be treated as such.
9: I'd say the same thing, actually. And, yes, you missed the part where I said the guys should be locked up for their actions. That said, the parents are stupid and the girl needs to remember the ol' "don't get into a stranger's car" lesson from grade school.

what the fuck are you guys talking about? unsupervised teenagers and bad parents? i thought this post was about how the seattle weekly is staffed by retards.
Ahhh #10. It's the parents' fault, it's the girl's fault, it's the alcohol's fault. How about it's the SOCIOPATHIC RAPISTS' FAULT and ONLY their fault?
Every single teenager who isn't socially isolated by borderline abusive parents has been drunk without parents around.
To conclude:
Weekly visual editor: a crass, tasteless bastard.
Gang-raping teenagers: belong in prison.
Gang-raped teenage girl: dumb.
Parents: nowhere to be found.
I'm all for involved parents and smart decision-making, but I think I missed the part where gang rape and death threats became some sort of expected consequence for teenage stupidity?
Speaking of keeping it classy, having your own amateur hardcore porn contest is a nice touch. Obviously if the Weekly pulled something like that, you would launch a HUGE bitchy tirade. But if the Stranger does it, of course it's hip.
Yeah, please explain the twink grabbing his moose-knuckle there over to the side of this Slog page - Ah sol velly crassy!
Kettle,
YOU ARE BLACK AS FUCK

JJ @5:
I'm offended by the amount of stupidity in your post. My kid spends a portion of her life with unsupervised boys, and sometimes there is alcohol present. The difference is that the (unsupervised) boys she hangs out with are not rapists.
Their meathead demographic receives a metaphor.
Well said @13 and 15.
Also, @12 made me think... who chose that photo? And what was their thought process? I just can't imagine anybody coming up with that and thinking it was a good idea. Nor someone else looking at it and saying, yep, no problems there...
how did they choo choo choooooooose her?
I hate this whole "where are the parents?!?!?!11111" argument. Seriously? After a certain age, kids should NOT be monitered 24/7 anymore. Parents should be teaching their kids values when the are younger, but just because they arent still putting their kids under surveillance at 16 years old doesn't in itself make them bad parents.
