And don't forget the warm up the week before at the Fremont Solstice Parade!

This is going to be my first pride season in Baltimore. This photo has given me inspiration!

I'm hoping the inspiration was to NOT go to Pride wearing pancake make-up...

Oh, Michael. I haven't yet made up my mind. . .

Please forgive me...I know this is going to sound ignorant, but I have to ask...how do I correctly refer to the individual in the photograph?

For example, if I wanted to say I was completely mesmerized by (insert correct identifier here) when I saw (insert correct identifier here) at last year's AIDS Walk?

I'm not ashamed to admit that I've led a fairly sheltered life, but I'm working on it! Thank you!

I believe that's a happy participant, schnoodle.

But you could say they're quite gay about participating, if you wanted to.

Thank you Will! I wasn't referring to the use of the word "gay"...to be honest, I initially wanted to post "she's beautiful!" but I wasn't sure if that would be considered offensive, or wrong.

But since reading the comments others have left on flickr regarding this photo, I have gained a wealth of information that I did not have 10 minutes ago! Thanks again!

Movie List Lotto up-take:

Look,
In retrospect, gay pride is about a party in the street...
so let's party.
The Stranger , like me doesn't have a sports spot, and that's kool...
so let's start " A BUZZ " for the Low Earth Orbiter hempfest campaign to U-2 The new update of the movie I forgot to include for Billy Bob and the Red Floor...

A cargo sleeper award for the safe liver driver in the streets... more details to come in the future from Bad Santa and the smokers....

It's like Kevin Spacet in Pay it Forward... what do you say Tom Cruise?

With so many people professing a fear of clowns, I just don't get it. Seems... inconsistent. Maybe it's only red noses or...?

Wow, that's the happiest person I've seen all day. Thanks Ari.

Great, another freak that the religious right uses to bash us right and left.

If it wasn't for assholes like this one in the picture, we would have had marriage rights by now.

Yes! Let's continue to paint the freakshow picture of homosexuality! This is what pride is! This is what homosexuality is! Everybody, quick! March forth with your most abhorrently lucrative get-up!

As we all know, "I'm a homosexual/I'm just as normal as you and I am totally fuckin' proud" must always be shown in the news-worthy spotlight in its most stereotypical "give everyone a solid motherfucking reason to sustain hatred towards homosexuality because as we can all see their majority consists of total fucking lunatic perverts whom of which are demanding tolerance of a distasteful lifestyle that reflects less than 50% of all homosexuals" fashion!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Jesus Christ! Like, why won't those FUCKING majoritiez of the US accept us already?!?! GAWL!!!

But still! YAAAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!

Gastly. Poe, it's one thing to be Homosexual, quite another thing to be a weird looking fucking idiot. What a lack of taste and discretion. Finally we have a face to put with the commentary!

Mr Poe is a sock puppet and a fag. Boo gay socks!

Dear Schnoodle,

When a drag queen is in drag, and using their drag name, you refer to them as "her" and "she".

This is even the NY Times style choice, believe it or not.

Hope this helps.

michael strangeways,

Thank you very much. That does help, and I truly appreciate it. I'd been led to believe that drag queens were always very feminine. But, I have since seen this referred to as "tough drag," and thanks to you, now know that the "tough drag" does not negate the "queen"!

Thanks again!

Mr Poe is all so unoriginal...

But at least he agreed with my point.
