Nope; treason in the US is only for two crimes:

"Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court."

Bush, for all his crimes, hasn't committed treason (as far as we know) like Reagan did in selling arms to enemies of the USA.

Let's not forget the Fascist corporate collaborators from halliburton, blackwater, etc. I think we may want to also publicly shame the investors for those companies too.

I'd love it if some morally bankrupt fat cat couldn't get a seat at a fancy restaurant or buy groceries because everybody knows he's funding the exploitation of poor people the world over.

You see what information privacy does, it allows you to hide the fact that you're a selfish asshole. I really think that everyones investments should be public record, but that's just me.

Wait until after the election? They should've started discussing this five years ago (whether he can be tried for war crimes, not the hanging part - calling for the execution of a sitting president in thinly-veiled terms and in the absence of a legal conviction is pretty crass, no matter who or why).

Unfortunately, I believe there are two seperate sets of laws, unwritten, that won't allow for an ex-president to be tried, no matter what his crimes. One set is for schlubs and one set for celebuticians. Celebuticians don't do serious time. Schlubs never stop doing time.

Trying them for War Crimes in International courts of law would be easier, and only requires a legal petition from affected citizens.

Well, this kind of talk might take some heat off of gay marriage, for the Red State lulus.

that's why he doesn't wear the lapel pin! It signals that he's in on the exeuction plot! And on days he doesn't put his hand on his heart for the Pledge of Allegiance? That means the town he's in will be one of the first palces where they're going to start rounding up the white slaves when he takes power!
