Dear Lord,
Please make this woman the First Lady of the United States of America.
I promise I will be good for the rest of my life.

@1, 2:

you'd have a tough time REACHING it unless you're 6'-2". she's 5'-11" & lots of legs.

i have a tough time reaching 5'-10", and i'm 6' even. yet i do manage to hit that, and hard...

Is it just me or does she look like she's concentrating really hard on squeezing someone's ass...?

Posted by SDizzle | June 19, 2008 11:43 AM
15

Now watch for some idiot chain e-mail to start up claiming she flashes gang signs.

Posted by rob | June 19, 2008 11:45 AM

Umm. Just thinking about those legs makes me all hot and bothered. Thank god I'm 5'11" ...

Is Dries Van Noten someone who makes some kind of clothes? Probably expensive ones, given the pretentious name?

Is Mark Mitchell some guy whose life revolves around the fashion industry? And we get to read about his obsession for the next month?

Okay, I now have another slog poster to ignore besides Charles.

America DESERVES a First Lady like Michelle Obama. In both the "makes us proud" and "too classy for most jackasses" ways.

Mr. Wright buys his pants at Cosco.

She looks angry. (She scares me...) Is she flashing a gang sign?

And there's rock bottom!

Give @22 a dollar.

The bar is set, can anyone else wiggle through beneath it?

...and comparable skirts to m. obama's are about $700. great. she may be book smart, but when it comes to winning over the little man who can barely afford gas she LOSES!

Oy.

I just realized Cosco is Costco. Huh. That only took a couple of years and a google search. People need to work on their enunciation. This is in no way my fault.

Posted by Mr. Poe | June 19, 2008 12:02 PM
31

@28...You think Cindy McCain is gonna wear skirts that cost less than that?

I think Michelle Obama is hot.

Maybe if you paid up your membership, Mr. Poe ...

Posted by Will in Seattle | June 19, 2008 12:07 PM

LOL @Poe. At least it's better than buying pants at Osco.

Posted by laterite | June 19, 2008 12:10 PM

I usually despair of my flip, but now I want an even bigger flip.

She's hot.

Hawt damn. Love me some nice looking smart ladies w/ dark hair.

@18: "hitting it", if i understand my hip hop slang correctly, means to penetrate from behind. that usually occurs on one's knees, in the style of a doggy. this is where contrasting leg lengths can cause difficulties.

Non @22
i have aids. so what, WHAT !..

@17 -- You're a moron -- it's a very common naming device in the Low Countries, and Germany, to add "von" or "van" to a name. It tended to begin as part of an aristocratic tradition (though not always...Rembrandt van Rijn springs to mind, and his father was a miller, albeit successful), but is today a very typical construct. You'll find van's and von's in both palaces and housing projects.

And yippee for meta -- I'm wearing a Dries Van Noten shirt as I type this!

Posted by Jubilation T. Cornball | June 19, 2008 12:56 PM

@36 - true, but it depends on a number of factors. Basic leg length, relative shoe height, angle.

Me, I have nothing against steps. God's gift to a good time.

42

Jesus God, I love me some Mark Mitchell, and some Michelle Obama too, but whywhyWHYwhy why does it have to start Will in Seattle talking about his sex life? Gahh?

Posted by Fnarf | June 19, 2008 1:07 PM
43

@Max: Ah. Not up on my HipHoppery--thought it was a more generalized penetrative term.

Given how, um, confident she looks in the photo, maybe she'd hit this.

Posted by Kevbar | June 19, 2008 1:14 PM

You're going to want a pillow for those knees anyways. Come on, people, show some ingenuity!

Posted by Fnarf | June 19, 2008 1:25 PM

I'm grabbing a bag of popcorn to sit back and watch the rest of the saga unfold this afternoon. Heavyweight bout with Fnarf vs. Will in Seattle! (My money's on Fnarf.) And Mr. Poe tag-teaming occasionally to drop a rabbit punch to whoever's jaw deserves it most! THAT'S entertainment. Oh, and welcome IMM as guest slogger.

OK so saying that Mark Mitchell has AIDS got my comment deleted.

I know this because he himself said it comments.

But, you know, whatever.

Posted by Non | June 19, 2008 3:23 PM

As biography, it's interesting. As an insult, it's beneath things that are beneath contempt. See the difference?

Posted by Fnarf | June 19, 2008 3:33 PM

Non -- I agree with you. I would have preferred that your comment stayed up, but it was taken down before I knew about it.

Where's a comment by ECB. It shows how much of an Obama hater she is not to take to task the misogyny in this thread. Yes she is attractive, but she is incredibly smart and will be the best first lady we've had since Eleanor Roosevelt.

Posted by elswinger | June 19, 2008 4:08 PM

That's a sweet skirt.

And frankly, I don't want presidential candidates or their wives dressing-down in the latest K-Mart fashions to show how close they are to the people, because I find that insulting. They can afford it, they should wear something they look good in.

i really want to read what non@22 said. from the looks of the other comments, it was something incendiary and entertaining!

Posted by Judith | June 19, 2008 4:55 PM

@52: The esteemed rev dr dj riz tells you what you need to know. Incendiary? Yes. Entertaining? No.

Fnarf makes the crucial distinction.
