Will there be any A or B-list sloggers there that we can watch play pinball?

It's okay, keshmeshi. I won't be attending.

So! You should go!

It'll be a great relief (I'm sure) to finally talk to someone other than yourself.

I can't make it. I have visitors. :-( Have fun.

Dang, I was gonna go, but I'm sort of put off by the who-can-be-meanest insult battle going on.

Let the recriminations begin: I have a make-good gig for a fundraiser I agreed to take part in for a Seattle Public School. I will not be able to attend.

#4, what the fuck are you talking about, you stupid cow?

Not looking doable, at the moment.

Moo!

Too bad Poe and tsm can't make it!

I'll be there, drinking heavily and cursing loudly at the Creature From the Black Lagoon pinball machine. I look forward to finally meeting Fnarf.

I'll be there, but pinball was never my best game.

I was planning to go, especially having agitated for a Slog Happy move to Belltown.

But, my wife is a high-school teacher, and her students are graduating (or some such nonsense) on Thursday evening. She must attend the ceremony, and I am therefore on non-negotiable kid duty.

Props to Ms. Horn for moving the festivities downtown. I hope lots of people show up and you can do it again.

@4 -- Stop being a pussy. I'd buy you a drink but I won't be there.

I'll be there, and hopefully I'll already be drunk.

And maybe 1 of the 5 people going. Lame.

No meanie here. I'm happy to meet any and all of you. We can talk shit about Mr. Poe behind his back. I hear he *** ******* ** **** *********.

No Poe & Jew combination? Sadness. At least there will be liquor, which doesn't judge.

I'll show up but am leaving early.

Unless Abby starts winning at Ms. PacMan.

I'll be there, and I will judge.

hey #4, i'd buy you an ipod, but I won't be there.

Oh, Abby, how wrong you are. Liquor does judge, oh so harshly. And then Paul, but he always grades on the curve.

@14

Oh, I so did. I did that and then I ****** ******** ****** *** **** **** **** ***** ** *** ****. * ******* ****'* **** * ****, ******. ******* ******* ***'* **** **** ** ****. Word.

I've changed my mind and decided making a fool of myself in public is my favorite thing to do, so I'll be there. Unless that guy from Texas is right and a nuclear war has started...

Seriously, I ain't no pussy. I ride the big bad bus EVERY DAY.

i plan on being there. rainman, wisepunk and i will be glad to give tips on how to win the next slog trivia contest (tip no. 1: have ME on your team).

fnarf, have you polished your dancing shoes?

Posted by scary tyler moore | June 11, 2008 1:57 PM

If fnarf and scary tyler moore dance the cha-cha for us I'm buying them both drinks.

I was really hoping to come this time but I'm pretty sick. Someone please take pictures and put them on Flickr.

#26, don't be lame.

Posted by w7ngman | June 11, 2008 2:42 PM

Get well, elswinger, I was hoping to meet you.

The only problem with the dancing shoes is deciding which ones to wear. Also, I'm still deciding whether to wear my Spurs jersey just to piss Abby off even though it makes me look like a giant white pudding....

We'll be there. And while everyone is absent this month, the hard-core Sloggers will put together an unbeatable Slog trivia team and lie in wait for the next trivia night.

Mostly, I just want to (poorly) play a game of pinball, drink copious amounts of gin, and be happy the quarter's over.

Posted by Jessica | June 11, 2008 3:07 PM

I'll make sure to bring my Arsenal scarf, Fnarf.

Posted by Abby | June 11, 2008 3:12 PM

I will be there, and I plan to drink heavily and tear it up even though I suck at pinball. Apologies to everyone in advance, except Will.

don't apologize to keshmeshi if she shows

I would strangle you with it if I wasn't a gentleman, Abby.

I for one would be happy to meet Keshmeshi if she comes. Not everyone on the Slog is a low down animal with no manners.

@34 -- Anyone with an Arsenal scarf has my fondest wishes for an "Isadorah Duncan."

And the only reason I'd want to meet keshmeshi is to watch her and Mr. Poe go all snake and mongoose on each other's asses. She frankly sounds kind of unpleasant.

I'm a peacemaker at heart. I believe that Arsenal and Spurs fans can find common ground and a joint purpose: hating the motherfucking shit out of Machester United. How about it, Abby, care to join me in a rousing version of "who's that lyin' on the runway, who's that dyin' in the snow?"?

Posted by Fnarf | June 11, 2008 6:52 PM

I'm doing my part for the environment and taking the bus again. Trip planner is telling me to get off at 5th & Pike, walk to 3rd and Pike and ride the 4 to 3rd and Blanchard. Is there a better suggestion from 5th and Pike, or should I just walk it from there? Thank you in advance to the collective Slog brain.

Hating the motherfucking shit out of Manchester United is a cause I can definitely get behind.

Jubilation, I have two Arsenal scarves and a Hertha BSC Berlin one (and a Ted Leo scarf that's in the same style).

I'm going. kesh and I have had our disagreements, but I bet she's pretty cool in person. Hell, Will in Seattle is a nice guy in person.

One question- motorcycle parking in town? I've never taken my bike into the city. Can I freeload off the end of a car space? elenchos, help me out here?

@36 -- Fnarf if you think that young men dying in the snow -- or having to fight back from terrible injuries to have a semblance of a career is worth your dumbass song, then you are well and truly fucked beyond the playful snark of Slog. Ever heard of Duncan Edwards? Hahaha -- that's funny someone so talented died.

Sir Bobby Charlton was one of those young men, and thank god he had more substance than you and fought back to win the world cup for England.

I hate Liverpool with no small passion, but if I ever hear someone make fun of Hillsborough, I'm liable to tear their carotid artery out.

You're a complete and utter ass.

Big Sven, I've got the name tags. Yes, you can park a motorcycle almost anywhere on the street for free starting at 6 pm. Ends of car spots are fair game.

Poptart, it's not a bad walk from 5th and Pike. 10 or so minutes, about 8 blocks. I'd walk it unless the weather is horrible.

Jubilation, Mrs. Fnarf informs me that I've "gone too far", but I'm not seeing it. Making light of horrible tragedy? Yeah, well. It's not like I WROTE the song. I have seen a hundred drunken Brits sing it at full throttle at six o'clock in the morning, though, which is an eyeful, all right. Everton fans, they were. 1985 FA Cup Final, in the Britannia Arms, a vile English pub in Cupertino, California.

What's funny isn't the air crash, it's that there's a hurtful song about it, and that people still sing it, and it still hits its mark fifty years later and five thousand miles away.

I'd offer up a funny song about Spurs if it would make you feel better, but there aren't any. How about an autographed picture of Darren Bent? Now, there's a real tragedy.

As for being an ass, utter or otherwise, guilty as charged I suppose. I'm sorry I hurt your feelings, even though I was trying to.
