Like anyone would put it past a lesbian couple to beat the shit out of their son.

That's $1 for someone, W7ngman.

Starkeisha? Good lord, some parents need to be smacked for what they name their children.

This website you have linked to combines all the charms of racism, People magazine, and the Smoking Gun, into a steaming pile of judgmental horseshit.

@2 Hey! That's my middle name!

Doesn't "Chelsea Alvarez-Bell" use Starkeisha brand tuna in her world famous tuna salad recipe?

As someone who has known girls named both "Star" and "Keisha" I find this story particularly hilarious.

And thanks for the equal opportunity cherry-picking, Dan.

Shouldn't the headline be "Every Child Deserves a Mother and a Mother"?

Or perhaps "Yet Another Statistically Irrelevent Annecdote".

Setting up a Myspace page that looks like that should be a capital crime in and of itself.

Thanks, now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go shoot myself.

Holy fuck. Sociopathic behavior is an equal opportunity employer. Poor kid. I'm going to go cry now.

My mom had a girl named AQUANETTA JONES in her 1st grade class at Sayler Park Elementary.

Starkeisha (the name, not the abusive mom) seems almost sane by comparison.

Um, hello? 5 year old kid is dead and we're chatting about whose name is the weirdest? Geez.

Every Child Deserves a Bodyguard. My God. At least we know that the insanity defense is out. Anyone smart enough to try and pass someone else's child off as theirs on their way to visit CPS, is truly "smart as f*ck".

(don't give me crap for the asterisk...I'm at work!)

Aquanetta Jones...wasn't that Cleopatra Jones' evil twin?

Awful story. There are stats that 20 percent of the seriously abused go on to abuse others. The 5 year old will need a lot of help. Also, it's a habit of some meth users to name a kid some variant of "Crystal". It's not a stretch to suppose that the couple were both seriously abused as kids and nothing was done. Not that this would excuse their behavior.

The names Starkeisha and Krystal cause many, many unkind & snarky comments to pop into my head. Mostly involving "trailer trash" and "Winning Mother of the Year Awards".

So, embracing lame stereotypes like you all and your robot leader Savage seem wont to do, what sort of abuse and abusive dynamics would exist for a little girl being raised by two gay males?

This could be a game show!

@22 - if you're going to post lameness, at least spell "dyke" correctly, mkay?

I'm female, queer, feminist, and mother to a son. What those women did to that boy had nothing to do with those labels.

@11 -- One of the strangest celebrities I ever met was the very first ACQUANETTA (she was related to my friend in Arizona)

Didn't Dan post an article awhile back that talked about two gay men who were abusing foster boys that were put in their care? Granted, it wasn't the same as abusing a little girl, but two gay men could still abuse one. It just wouldn't be sexual abuse.

@22

That is an unbelievably ugly, ignorant thing to say. I hope you didn't think before you wrote that. You assume these two women tortured this child because he was a boy. There is no evidence of this. Yet according to you, this MUST be the case because the women are lesbians and lesbians hate males.

("But those evil man-hating dykes burned him on his privates! So I'm right, you stupid dyke bitch!" Sure they did -- because it would hurt there. That's not rocket science. If you read the awful article, they also denied him food while eating in front of him and burned his hands to the point that they were completely unusable. They also apparently beat him wih a belt or chain *everywhere*. The evidence suggests that the point was to make the child's life hell. Not to punish him for being male.)

Your reaction is nothing more than your own ugly sexism and homophobia talking. Now do the world a favor and do something about that, because it's NOT okay.

Those truly are people you'll see in hell.

I wonder how they got away with it for so long. With these sort of injuries, wouldn't someone have noticed? Apparently, their friends weren't concerned with the abuse, considering that they were willing to loan the couple their children to help them cover it up.

Somebody, somewhere knew this was going on...
Somebody saw something, suspected something, wondered about something.

and then turned and walked away...

This post, and others that are posted on the "People..." web site are further evidence that everyone ought to be sterilized at (or before) puberty. Then, if they REALLY want kids, they can get tested for mental stability to see if they are sane enough to be parents, and get the procedure reversed.

Suffer the babies. Man (and womans) inhumanity is evident. Animals all. Poor babies. I once saw a grown male bear walk up to a baby bear and just bite it in two. We're so much more evolved, aren't we?
